I’ll be doing the scaled workouts. But I’m not paying to do it. I could care less where I rank.

I’ll Rx it.

I’m good with everything except MUs. I don’t have the time to spend working on them.

Hopefully the piece together MUs and DUs in one workout so I can struggle in only one workout.

Double metcon

First half:

Metcon (AMRAP - Rounds)
*Clean Positioning*
Alternating On the Minute x 10 (5 Rounds of each):

Minute 1: 2 Pausing Deficit Clean Pulls (3" Riser)
Minute 2: 50' Handstand Walk

Sets: 60-65-70-70-70% of 1RM Clean

Second half:

Metcon (3 Rounds for reps)

3 x AMRAP 4 minutes:

12 Burpee Box Jump Overs (24")
21 Power Cleans
27/21 Calorie Row

Turns out we aren't even doing them on Fridays at our gym. Just nobody wants to do it twice in a year. I think 2 people signed up.

In the context of normal class WODs where i can scale properly, I agree. I'm surprised they're not making them the Friday class and just recommending scaling.

Doing the open for real for me means trying things that I know are going to be over my head but trying my damndest anyway to get a higher score. I get beat the frick up.

That’s more on the Coaches.

If they promoted it, you would have 70+ signed up. They haven’t even mentioned in the class when discussing upcoming events.

I have to go during Open gym time between 1-3 on Friday and do it by myself, which sucks.

Today’s workout.

A) 5 sets across: 1 heavy squat clean + 3 front squats
B) Max distance row in 2 minutes

A) 200
B) 592 meters

I was pulling a 1:30 500M for almost a minute before my body said.. WTF are you doing, and I crashed to 1:45-1:49.

Yeah, the scaled versions usually end up being really good ones for me.

I really like today-I need work on snatch:

A.)10 min EMOM- 3 Power Snatch (135/95)

B.)15 min AMRAP
12 SDHP (95/65RX)(115/75RX+)
12 Cal Row
12 Box Jumps (20/14)

C.)100 Med Ball Sit Ups AFAP

Our coaches tried to promote it but it was met with very little enthusiasm, thus no gym wide competition like usual. I think most thought that once a year was enough and with fall being hunting and football season a lot of people have their weekends full. I will be interested to see the number of people registered this time as it was already down for the spring if I remember correctly.

Its normally during rodeo for me so I'm looking forward to not having to do it Thursday night every week. At a new gym on the road so I don't know what to expect. They said this Spring was a huge turn out and they're doing the Friday night stuff, but I imagine it will be toned down. signed up again to see if I can break into the 5 digit rankings
