I was going to get one of the Black pair of Glenn's next. I think I will get the Ra III instead.

I, like many out there wasted money, time and my sanity pursuing orthotics, numerous kinds of expensive running shoes trying to fix my plantar fasciitis, ankle pain from tendon subluxation/weakness.

Went on a trip for a week and all the symptoms suddenly lessened substantially.

Well, those water shoes I was wearing all day were the reason why. Zero drop shoes have pretty much cured my issues. Crazy thing is I was trying the exact opposite cure that I needed.

Problem is zero drop shoes are funny looking and now everyone has gained an inch of height onme but screw it, it is worth it

As far as alleviating pain and building back the strength, isn't barefoot a good option? I've been doing that all day around the house over the past week. I only walk on the balls of my feet, so far no fatigue but maybe after more time.

Kinda funny you say that but there are some tribes in the Amazon that do not wear shoes at all and they can climb trees damn near as good as monkeys and their toes are all gapped out which literally lets them use their feet like hands.

HFS is my number one running shoe. Lighter than the Prio.

I got my Glenn's in today. I was worried that the leather might look cheap but it doesn't. I am very pleased with them.

If you were looking for something minimal without it looking to clown short, look at inov8 barefoot xf. The toe box isn't as wide.
Thanks for the look on this, burgeman. My inov8s came in and they are WAY better looking than the Xeros. I might grab another couple of styles.

No problem, I've been down the barefoot rabbit hole for a couple years now.

Just pulled the trigger on the Xero Prio thanks to this thread, some research, and the sale

I walk a ton at work and OnClouds were my shoe for years and all of a sudden this summer out of nowhere tons of foot pain with lots of different shoes. Barefoot and shoes with less cushioning make them feel better.

Even if I don't like them shoes were only $70 after shipping

Depending on how much you walk they may take some getting used to. What do you do?

I actually have a desk job - but I have a standing desk with an under desk treadmill

So as I adjust I'll be able to change in and out of different shoes
