I quit coffee a few months ago after years of 4-5 cups a day and feel so much better. It was a struggle though. My wife is doing it right now for lent and hopefully she'll stay off it.

It is a strange sensation.

And one that I don't like and causes me to think "You know, I probably shouldn't be drinking this"

i recently discovered, at Walmart of all places, macadamia milk.

Been looking for a creamer that just a splash wouldn't break my fast. So far:

Unsweetened almond milk - doesn't taste great with coffee
unsweetened Flax milk - same
unsweetened Soy - tastes good but soy has a bad stigma (haven't researched)

I'll have to give macadamia milk a try.

coconut and macadamia are def my favorites. they also make a coconut "creamer" that i haven't tried. i assume it's just thicker than the regular milk.

my wife says the macadamia tastes like egg nog. i sort of taste what she's talking about, but it isn't sweet like that and definitely not a strong flavor. i haven't tried it in coffee but i doubt you can taste anything like that in it.

Eta: I was just in Sprouts and they only has the unrefrigerated kind and it was expensive. I hope wally keeps stocking it.

I am starting to question the wisdom of my Splenda intake. I would love to switch to something else. HATE Stevia products. Hell, I may just go back to sugar.

Something I did last year to sweeten up my coffee. Spoonful of honey. Adds a good amount of sweet, but doesnt frick with the flavor the way Stevia does.

ETA: Just saw you said you tried it.

Coconut milk is the only way I make it through whole30. The kind in a can with all the fat you find in the Thai section of the grocery.

Making the switch totally as soon as we make our next Kroger run. I have another CrossFitter in the building using the same coffee station, and he already does it.

I read a study recently that listed out the different artificial sweeteners and how much of each you can consume before it reaches a dangerous level.. and it was an insanely high amount.

Even diet soda was some absurd amount per day. Obviously, those are bad for your teeth and whatnot, but I thought it was interesting considering the faux outrage over artificial sweeteners that has been debunked time and time again yet people still think they're killing us all.
