262 Rx. 4-4 on the T2B for the first 6 rounds. Feel like I was very inefficient with the dumbbell. Row was...meh. Was taking way more that 14 pulls to get the calories. I’m going to redo on Monday. I think between the dumbbell and transition time, I can pull off a few more reps.

One of my buddies who is a CF coach told me to always row on 6.5 as it is the most efficient.

I had always rowed on 10 before.

I've used 6.5 the last few times and it doesn't seem to be more efficient.

Also...I did 18.1 this morning and I'm too embarrassed to post my score. I was in gym by myself so I had no one to race/motivate me and I had to use my phone timer, which meant I was unable to see how much time I had or pace myself. When the timer went off, it surprised me.

I'm going to do it again tomorrow with a buddy.

I've watched videos on this and even calibrated the rowers based on the recs. Nothing seems to make me more efficient.

The top guy in our gym got 361 today.

I hope to get close to 10 rounds, but 80 TTBs will be tough.

I asked one of the Brute Strength guys and he said 8 should be the damper setting for this event.

You go higher and it’ll tax your upper body too much and hurt the TTB and Clean/OHs.

Every damper on every rower is slightly different. Go to settings, display drag factor. Pull normally and adjust damper to get a drag factor of around 130 -140.

247 RX. Using the Open to judge progress, I am very happy with my score. Last year I scaled all Open workouts and had started doing Crossfit only a month prior.

I was unable to continue stringing together the TTB and ended up breaking them up 5-3 after the 2nd round. My biggest fear was the clean/jerk being my shoulders are not all that strong. So I surprised myself when I was able to do them unbroken.

That is just as fast as I could go on ttb.

Tried to recover on rower.

Edited to correct the score, I had got 4 cal on rower...math is hard

I think I could get the addtional 10 cals on the rower if I redid. I just dont have time tomorrow. Of all Open workouts, I feel like I could go and redo it again right now. It didnt beat me up at all.

277 Rx on my redo. Beat my 1 st time by 25 reps. I didn’t break up T2B and limited breaks between switching arm on the dumbbell. Stayed consistently between 950 and 1200 on tower.

Great job. I just text my coach to see if anyone was going to be judging this afternoon so I can redo.

264. The scaled weight is really light, so the dumbbell part was super easy. I am so close to being able to do toes to bar. Had I done those, I would not get over 200. I had to break up the knee ups in my last 3 because my hands just could not hang on. Soon though and I will be happy to have a much lower total.

I re-did it this evening

238 RX

T2B absolutely killed me. The DBs didn’t really bother me nor the row. All my time was wasted on T2B. If I could kip I could have probably get close to 300.

I redid it today and got 284. I pretty much did exactly what you did except keeping the rower anywhere close to 1200. I just tried to keep it around 900.

276 Rx on the redo. So 14 reps better. Wifey redid with me, which was cool. She did 41 reps better. I would say the T2B did me in, but damn I just started running out of gas man. All slouched over on the row jeez. Glad that ones in the books. On to more pain.

I'm so glad I gave this one another try. I've been pissed since Friday with my 242Rx rep performance. T2B killed me and I was too amped up out the gate trying to make up time in other places. Splitting up T2B and very small rests every other round on the db to overhead allowed me to jump up to 290 reps, Rx. Pretty happy with a 48 rep jump
