Cross Training Shoes

Anyone have any recommendations for shoes they love for lifting, training, and shorter runs? I do a lot of workouts where I’ll run a mile or so at the end and don’t want to have to wear two pairs of shoes. I currently own a pair of ON shoes made for cross training, but they aren’t any good.

Never even heard of them. Will check out.

2 most popular cross training shoes are the Metcons and Reebok Nanos
I prefer the Metcons, but plenty of people also like the Nanos (the Nanos are too stiff for me)
if you want to go full Crossfit bro you could get a pair of NoBull trainers

I don't like running any distance in my Metcons. I have been wanting to try the new Nano X's for less than 1 mile runs.
Anything over 1 mile I have to put on my running shoes.

oh me either, as they are definitely not running shoes
but I hate running period in my Nanos, but I have one of the older models, not the news one

Salmon made solid suggestions. I’ve owned both Reebok Nanos and Nike Metcons. I feel like the Reebok’s have a bit more cushion to them. Personally, I prefer the Nike’s as long as my runs stay short.

Nano X are great. Run, CrossFit, Olympic lift with no issues.
Anything over a mile or if it’s a CrossFit workout that is all running or no barbell work I switch to new balance fuel cell and love those for middle distance running.

For me, the Reebok Nano 2s are the GOAT training shoe.

I've got 6.5 years of CrossFit under my belt now, and about 15 pairs of cross-training shoes over the years (not including lifters). This is only counting Nike and Reebok, so not qualified to speak on other brands.
I do agree that METCONS are not suitable for 400+ m runs in workouts. With that said, my METCON Free X 1s are my absolute favorite for running workouts. If I have to pick a pair to do a workout with a 800+ m run (one time, not total), it would be these. Good cushion, return, and support for cross-training. The METCON 3s are the most recent version I own, and would not choose these for workouts with runs 400+ m.
The Nano 9s are somewhat suitable for running, although I would not pick them for anything over 800 m.
I own three pairs of Nano 2s (one is my first ever pair of CF shoes and a bad shoe glue attempt from a visit to the grave), but I would not choose them to run a mile in.

They are the best I have used. I had NOBULL’s and they were similar but ripped after a heavy deadlift session, so I sent them back.

All of these sound like they may not be suitable for any run longer than some sprints...guess I’ll check out the Nano X to see.

Let me know. I'm looking for something good for both 2-5 mile jogs as well as lifting.

Nano X are awesome. Love mine. Metcon 6 are fine but still prefer Nano
