Creatine and Weight LiftingPosted by HurricaneDunc
on 2/12/21 at 6:35 pm

I’ve started hitting the gym again after a few years off. I was going to Amazon to order some protein powder and saw a recommendation for creatine monohydrate. I remember this stuff from high school - it seems crazy cheap. Is this still a legit supplement? Any reason I wouldn’t want to use it?

Creatine is one of the only supps proven to work. I can’t give you a reason not to take it, unless you’re allergic. Take 5-10g every day, and you’ll be solid.
Just make sure you stay hydrated.

It gives me liquid shits if I don't mix it well. Mix it with hot water and it dissolves easier though

You sure that's not from taking too much?

5 mg a day. As soon as I started using hot water I never had the problem again.

I use the 2.5G pills. Don’t see any reason yet to go beyond that. No ill effects.
