It’s been probably 12 years since I’ve last ingested casein. My buddy had a tub of the bodybuilding.com branded Vanilla casein he didn’t like and gave it to me. I just did water and the casein powder. So good.

When you're deep into a fat loss and hungry at night casein pudding really is clutch.

My biggest problem with casein is no matter what brand I buy, it just foams up so damn much compared to regular protein.

Are you putting it in a shaker?

Bruh that’s the issue. You don’t consume it as a shake. Put your 1-2 scoops or however much you want into a bowl. Pour water little by little and whisk with a spoon. It’ll turn into a pudding consistency.

Well son of a bitch.

I had some casein a few years ago and hated drinking that stuff. Never occurred to make a pudding. May have to try it again

I had no idea about the pudding. Made it tonight. Damn that was way better than drinking it!

This seems like as good a thread as any...

How do you “use” casein? I make shakes now with whey but it is strictly for meal replacement purposes.

Is there an advantage to eating this before bed? Or is it just extra calories for me to burn off?

I’ve used ON Casein in shakes for years and they are thicker which I like.

No issues whatsoever. Keeps me fuller for longer. Whey makes me hungry

It’s generally used before bed when you are in a fasted state since it’s a slow release protein and helps to prevent catabolism.

Cottage Cheese does the same thing at a fraction of the cost. Not knocking Casein but drinking it got old quick. Now this pudding revelation might make me rethink it.

Casein pudding is more for the feeling of dessert aspect rather than the anti-catabolic benefits IMO.

You have to blend casein with some peanut/almond butter with ice and it comes out the perfect consistency

I’m using the bodybuilding.com branded casein in vanilla flavor. If you like the taste of frosting you’ll enjoy it.
