I wish I would have taken a before picture. I guess I can always snap one of where I am now and see progress in a month.

yea I would up the cals a bit and try to focus on hard cardio. Like sprints, burpees, tabata on machines or even better heavy bag work. For somebody your size this could make a big difference.
BTW you look awesome. Great job.

Damn dude, DC training did you good. And yes I am jeleous as frick that you can see your abs at 15%. Can't even really see mine at 11%

I know you're very short so your cals are skewed, but you should probably look into a reverse diet. Reverse and start killing some weights and your calorie intake can shoot up in 6 months, then you can try to knock out that last little bit that you want to.

That's what I'm going to do.

I don't really show abs well either I don't think. I have pretty wide hips.

I really wish I had my pic of when I did DC training. This is just a regular half arse bodybuilding style workout.

YouTube? Is that a dumb suggestion?
Posted on 5/26/17 at 9:35 am to LouisianaLady
It might be.
I was kind of hoping for something the entire universe wouldn't be able to see.
ETA: my "it might be" was because I thought you said "is that a dumb question" (referring to mine).

I don't consider myself ripped until about 7 days before a show
I was a fat kid, so I hold the majority of my fat during the offseason in the waist and glutes
My abs don't come out to say hello until 3 days before a show. It's just the outer barrier that shows most of the time. Looks like a rectangle was drawn on my stomach

You can set the video to where you can only view it if you have the link with YouTube

LL the advice Hulk just pointed out is very good advice. Understand if you want to wait until after swim suit season but come September or October, you should 100% do a reverse diet with heavy lifting with some short intense cardio thrown in 3 times a week. If you work the reverse right and hit the weights hard you will get much closer to your goal next cut.
as far as glutes, concentrate on squats for high reps(think 20-30 reps), glute ham raise and hip thrusters. If you want to thin out your legs at the same time do tons of bodyweight lunges, air kickbacks and kneeling leg side lift(think dog pissing on a fire hydrant).

Saving this post.
I need to just suck it up and see a one-on-one trainer for a little bit. I have no clue what I'm doing most of the time and I think it would be beneficial.

Be careful
I don't know where you live or train, but in BR, I know a lot of trainers at various gyms
I, honestly, wouldn't pay or listen to over 90% of them
A lot of trainers take some BS online course to get certified or get certified through a 2 day class in the gym they will be working in
Do your homework, get credentials, and get someone who knows their stuff

YEP. LL honestly I would stay away from a trainer unless you have a starting strength certified trainer in your area that can teach you form on the lifts. I would follow a plan like in greyskull womens section or the rpt plan martin berkham put out for women or look on my google drive I have linked on the F&D board and kinobody has a godess program. Also brett corteras's strong curves would be another great book.
Most trainers that are local will have you doing bullshite exercises for stupid volume.
