I saw a few friends saying they are losing close to 20lbs in 2 weeks.

The phase one is some ridiculous caloric deficit program: 5-100 calorie meals and 1 lean & green meal that I guess is around 400-500 cals, so 900-1000 daily.

The call these small 100 cal meals fuelings.

If I run a 2,000 caloric deficit, I too would lose weight like these people, but I’d feel like shite with that low of food intake.

Oh, and you can’t workout during the Phase 1. No shite? I wouldn’t want to with those energy levels.

Almost no one has a BMR of 3,000 calories. Honestly, i don't really see anything wrong with gen pop that doesnt move around at all eating 1k calories a day for a little while. They probably aren't expending more than 2,000.

The problem with a diet like this is going to be compliance and longevity.

Most people don't exercise at all. I wouldn't want to do this wither, but most people are fat and don't move

I'd have to see the other phases to really come up with any opinion. I agree with Mingo here - most people are lazy and want to lose weight with little to no exercise. They aren't going to burn many calories yet want quick results. This kind of low-calorie introduction phase is okay as long as it's only a couple of weeks long and then introduces more foods and guides people to healthier eating. Sometimes this kind of drastic protocol serves to 'reset' people's brains about how much they're actually eating, and the quick results will motivate people.

Its almost as if there's 300 million people in this country alone and a majority of them sit in their car to go sit at a desk then go sit at home and watch TV

Crash dieting won’t change their lifestyle. They may think it will, but for 95% of them doing a similar diet plan, they will just add a majority of the weight back within a year.

1k calories a day isn't crash dieting for a lot of people. If you are moving zero, which a lot of people do, you probably aren't burning 2k calories a day.

But people who are doing this extreme dieting are eating terrible and probably taking in 3,000 per day via bad meal choices and shifty snacks.

I used to eat PB&J or Honey with at least one glass of milk, I calculated total cals once, and I’d be between 1,200 and 2,000 if I ate one or 2. It’s easy to consume shitloads of cals if you don’t monitor it.

Were talking about 2 different things. I don't disagree with what you posted above.

What I'm saying is for a person that doesn't move and is fat, this diet is inconceivable, assuming they are compliant.
