Saw an old post for LoseIt as a calorie counter app. Anyone have experience with that or recommend another? Thanks

I use carbmanager. It does everything I need & entering food is pretty easy. It’s the only one I’ve ever really used so I don’t have anything to compare it to. My fitness pal is probably the most popular

Question, are you looking for free or paid? I use macro factor and enjoy it. Use to use myfitnesspal in the past.

Prefer free , don't need lot of bells and whistles , but not opposed to paid if not much

I pay $70 a year for MacroFactor and it is completely worth it. Often take pictures of the food and the AI figures the macros. Sceptical at first, but it is pretty damn accurate.

I use Chronometer without the subscription. Works well for my needs but heard good things about MacroFactor from a couple of people at the gym.

Chronometer - tried and true
Cal AI app - new AI tracker that you can take a pic of your plate and it works out the macros and calories

I normally scoff at apps that I have to pay for, but MacroFactor is totally worth it. The AI does a really good job of portion size. I'll test it occasionally by weighing my food before running it through the app, and the AI is normally spot on.
I wanted to tighten my diet up a little since I got a little sloppy after my surgery last year. Lost 15 pounds in 3 months just using MF to stay on top of my protein and calories.

MyFitnessPal is fine for a free app. Once you get your typical schedule planned out and understand kind of the reality of where you fall, I find i'm not using it that much on a daily basis because I know where my general numbers are. The free ones can be a paid to get meals and things set up initially witout barcode scanning and stuff, but once you have your usual items added, its easy to log daily.

Been using LoseIt for over 12 years! Love it.

I've been using LoseIt daily for 3 years. You can usually get a year subscription of the premium version for about $10 during holidays, which could be an option with the 4th coming up.
I did try out MacroFactor for a month last year, and it is great. The AI feature is awesome and I found it to be accurate.
LoseIt premium has a similar AI feature, but it doesn't work as well as MacroFactor.
