Has anyone looked into, tried these blood type diets? Thoughts?
I did a search and could not find it discussed, if so please link me to thread.
Have a few coworkers who swear by them and have been on them for several weeks (they were already doing other types of diets). They claim that since they have started this diet they are actually seeing results from working out and have a lot more energy.

My opinion, blood types have zilch to do with diet.
If you've been eating whatever, any diet that moves you in a healthier direction will make you feel good.

That was my take when it started to become a thing around the office. But, 2 of the people that are now doing it have been working out & eating healthy regularly for as long a I have known them (3-4 years). They state all they did was change their diets to fit this new program and are seeing better results. They feel better and have more energy.
One of them is eating more meats/proteins and less grains/dairy based on his blood type. The other is doing less meats/proteins and more fruits/veggies based on her blood type.

Always been curious about this. I don't even know my blood type though.

My initial belief was a new fad, but there may be something to it. It still doesn't make sense to me, but at least it's not a one type fits all program.
I also don't want to make it work for me because I have to stop drinking beer & coffee
And apparently my go-to veggies are all in the Brassica family

So one upped their diet induced thermogenesis through more protein so overall less calories and the other is eating less calories by eat more veggies.....notice a theme there? Less calories perhaps works.

Placebo is a strong deal.

I’ve loosely followed this diet for over 5 years and I definitely see a difference in overall energy levels and just generally feel better when I’m following it strictly. It did help with losing those last few stubborn pounds also. There is some science behind it, very interesting information in the intro of the book. The diets are based on the idea that each blood type has different digestive enzymes specific to that type. The recommendations are based on what foods best match with the blood type digestive enzymes, among other things.

Old fad. Snake oil. Zero science behind it, at least that I've ever seen.

My friends mom read a book on it years ago. My husband, my friend, her mom, and I all gravitate naturally towards the foods that are supposed to be best for our blood type. No maybe there is something to it.
