Just did my first hot yoga class and can’t believe it took me this long to try. Feel great and can’t wait to fit it into the schedule.

Once a week.

Hot yoga at times is only difficult because of the heat. Try a vinyasa class occasionally, it can really work some muscles you never knew existed.

2-3x a week with the wife at home

Mobility has always been a problem for me and consistent yoga has helped tremendously

that seems more economical. The studio I went to does $88 for unlimited classes which is a pretty decent price vs the average Houston group class studio.

There is a yoga place about 50 steps from our box. I am told I can pay by the visit. What do you think about me doing that on days I take off from the box or days I simply don't like the workout? How often does one need to go to benefit?

Years ago, when I was really into CrossFit, I asked the XFit forum and the OT here the same question, "Should I do Yoga?"

The CrossFit response was basically "It'll definitely help with your mobility. You should try this type of Yoga or that type of Yoga. This is what to look for in a Yoga studio." Really helpful stuff.

The OT's response? "Bruh, think of all the hot asses in Yoga pants you'll be staring at. Definitely. Just don't pop wood while doing backbends."

I think you would see remarkable improvement in mobility if you went twice a week consistently.

It will also help with injury prevention, which is something we all need to address as we age and stay active.

$88 is a great price for unlimited classes.

My wife was paying $120 for 3 classes a week before we started doing it at home. Lots of good YT yoga videos out there.

We also did ROMWOD for while, which is $15/month and posts daily videos.

That isn’t bad at all. I’d be more willing to do it at home if not for my dog jumping on me and the lack of ability to make it hot.

Hot Yoga twice a week, and 15-20 pre-bed routine from yoga by candace on YouTube. Works wonders on my hips and backs with olympic lifting.

I'll translate:

"I watch Yoga with Adriene on YouTube because I don't want to pay for a studio"

Yoga with Adriene is good. She has lots of videos. But yeah, she also talks a lot.
