Actually wasn’t hard at all.

I watched the video he posted last night from Squat University on how to SS and I did that for the warmup and it helped me.

What weight or % did y’all use?

I went with the same weight as the front squats, so 40%. Wasn’t bad.

He just called me out on Instagram about using Smith machine. Hilarious.

I used to do bb Bulgarians as a warmup for leg days: sets of 5 per leg with empty bar, 25, 35, 45 per side then start warmup up back squats at 135.

I have a leg roller for them that mounts in my rack, but you have to stand right next to the safety straps to hit one leg and so above 135 it just felt dangerous. And I’m too lazy to switch the roller for every leg every set.

If I had 2 barbells, I’d put one down low with a pool noodle so I had a leg support that went all the way across the rack.

Day 18 down

I took my time and had a longer warm-up than usual. Even then, today only took 70min. Good, solid workout. BB 21s were probably the worst of it. The BB RFESS sets were actually a lot easier than expected. I worked up to 75# and would've gone higher had we had more sets.

I positioned myself where I normally do squats, then walked backwards 2 steps to measure where I wanted the foot rest. Racked the bar just like my normal squat, walked backwards to the bench, took 2 steps forward and got it done.

Looking forward to ending the week strong tomorrow. Expecting 10x10s...

10x10 CG bench with KB swings lol. I guess that’s better than 10x10 squats

W2 D4 done much needed light day. The bicep pump was real though

Tomorrow looks tough and long….

Don’t have KB’s, what can I sub for the swings?

Tomorrows will be a doozy!

I’m going to be sweating just doing the warmup.

I liked the BB RFESS. No wobblyness. I only did 65 lbs since he said light but I think I could have gone up a good bit. May have to try some of those at a later date.

you can do DB swings, but also RDL works too. Any hinge movement works. thrusters would be a good one

Damn you for even suggesting 10x10 thrusters as an option lol. I’m in the same boat, will try and swing either my rubber 40# or 60# DB around. If that’s a disaster then I’ll do RDLs instead

I don’t read well and start reading at the first lift. Brain just ignores it.

I've been using a 30# KB for the warm-up swings (heaviest KB I have access to). That seems light for the 10x10 working set.

Think weighted hyperextensions would be a decent sub?

If he writes it I do it.

When he says 3-4 sets I can’t even make myself do 3. I tried today on the warmup. Had to do 4.

Just finished day 19 this morning 11 hours after day 18 because we're travelling today, and my knees are cooked nicely

Squats are moving nicely. I didn't use a belt for all sets, but kept the knee sleeves on the whole session.

The bench/kb swing superset is massive, and I would recommend chilling on ego and do 45%, as it catches up really quick

The bent over rows I had to got 20 pounds lighter than earlier this week because I had nothing left in tank.

Don't skip the warm up superset and as cardio at the end, as they helped me through

Now to sit in the car and drive 5 hours with the wife and dog

I’ve been on Bourbon since 2pm. No morning workout for sure!
