HFM

Oatmeal baths, Aveeno cream, and calamine spray at bedtime. This is what I did for my daughter and the first night I did this, she slept all night

Glad you did. Squatober is a lot of fun as the workouts grind out and you read all the posts.

Plus we got the greatest workout post of all time from Dr Denim one year.

We got lucky when my little girl had it. She didn’t have any in her mouth but her legs and diaper area were bad.

I had a thought one night that the reason she was so miserable was that she didn’t know that the “itchy” feeling meant to scratch. So that’s why I started doing stuff to treat the itch and then she slept through the night. Still looked rough but she was sleeping so we were sleeping.

Good one to start the month with.

Day 2 went quick. Picked a good weight for the RFESS; felt the burn, but had several reps in reserve. Deadlifts almost felt like cardio. It was solid enough weight that you weren't going thru the motions. Sets and rest were both quick; just long enough to let your hands get some relief. I like unbroken squats, I don't like a 20 rep set of unbroken squats. With the light weight form was solid, but around rep 14-15 my knees were on fire. OHP snuck up on me. Set 1 was quick and easy. During set 2, I was thinking about which weight to use on sets 3-5. Started to reconsider the weight increase during set 3 and by 4 and 5 I was just hoping to maintain the same weight/form/reps.

It was a quick one. The 20 reps were tough. I added a shrug to the top of the deadlifts with each rep, felt good.

Maybe I’m just old but how can your knees and joints hold up to squats every…fricking…day for a month?

Sub maximal efforts and varied squatting movements. Pretty simple
