Im having a week or 2 off, myself. Doing greyskull, and I progressed faster than my left elbow wanted to, lol.

I have to take Day 1 off and might use Saturday to catch up on the lifts but I will definitely be missing a week since I will be in Cancun. Resort gym doesn't have a squat rack.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to join in this year. Mid-July I tweaked my back and pinched a nerve setting down some weight during a warm-up set. The walk back home was one of the longest mile and a half walks I've ever taken. Had to take some time off to rest and ease back into the weights. Current TM is 95% of that I used last October and (other than bent rows) I'm almost pain free. I plan on giving it a shot using the current TM and see where I'm at on 10/30.

Apparently we are all getting older because no one is doing it anymore.

I probably need squatober more than ever, but I haven't set up the rack at the new house yet.

We should start in on Aaron about creating a Squatober version for old dudes.

/aaron would say he already made squatober for old dudes, just not for weak old dudes prolly
My son that lifted with me moved out and the wife took his spot in the gym. This will be our second squatober. I have travel til Saturday late tho so going to plan on starting day 1 Sunday and maybe cut back on rest days or maybe just have to run 2-3 days behind the pack.

Ready to go tomorrow, did some of the prep work but I'm keeping it light this year.

How do y'all do that many squats? My problem is all the up-down-up-down makes me lightheaded if I do it too much.
I try to do high weight low reps so I'm at least challenging my muscles.

26 reps isn't that bad. I do more reps than this every time I squat.
I agree with you though, I prefer lower reps and heavy weight, but this program works. Your legs will grow and you will get stronger.

Welcome back Squatober!
I went ahead and knocked out day one. I'm going to get ahead a day to make up for a day I have to travel later this month.
Squats were great. Bench press was ok. Chinups were rough. I got 18 good ones in those sets. 8 sets felt like 20 sets, though.
Hamstrings and skullcrushers was a good cardio. I just hit deadlifts and leg curls yesterday so I felt this a little bit.
Pretty good opening day. Took around 65 minutes.
Edit...well frick. Couldn't even get this right. Bench press was 5 sets of 3. I did 5 sets of 5. Oh well.

Got is done early this morning. Took me a little longer at 1:24. However that includes stretching, locating the weights (public gym), and 4 warm-up sets on each bench and squat.
Squat and bench were smooth. Maybe I'm actually starting the month out with a correct TM?!? I despise chin-ups and pull-ups, but I did them the best I could unassisted. They definitely tailed off on the last 3ish sets. Per instructions, I stayed light-ish on the RDLs. I took the mindset that Aaron was going for a deep stretch and RoM. I started light on the skullcrushers with all intention of moving up towards the end. However, I pretty quickly decided against that idea. Sets of 20 with fairly short rest induces some good burn.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's notes (and inevitable complaints)!

I don't count my warmup in my time. It would easily add another 15 minutes. I also don't usually take the full rest periods because I'm too impatient.

I'll have to speed things up to get this done at lunch today. I have been able to usually get all of the work done in time though.
