Good ole 5x5

I'll probably add some bis and tris depending on the time.

I caught up over the weekend and hit the workout this morning. Being conservative when selecting my maxes has been a great call. In past Squatobers, I went too big too fast and couldn't recover and stay on track.

70s Big as expected was LONG. We did both of our sets at a weight then swapped out to avoid half of the unracking, and tried to go a bit faster. We also both knocked out the 85% set as 1 set of 4 (was a PR for the wife) and then when it came to doing the carries we went out in the yard and did 25 yards with one arm up, turned around and did 25 yards back with the other one up. 4 sets of that with minimal rest. I used 30s, seemed like enough weight to me by that point. .

5x5s tomorrow should be quite a bit quicker.

"Boring Simple Strength"

He wasn't lying. Solid, but boring.

I combined the bent over rows and DB RDL's into a ss to save some time.

I think I'm going to run into some problems finding time the rest of this month. I can spare the time for each individual workout but 5x per week is rough - my life now can really only accommodate a 3-4x per week schedule. Hope I don't end up playing catch up on the weekends. Really enjoying this though - feels like my form is improving each day and going to do my best to finish this as prescribed.

Might even need to do AM squats and PM rest of the workout (or vice versa) if need be. Does that sound like a bad idea to anyone?

Do what you got to do Metallica, life got in the way for me yesterday and I will have to be 1 day behind this week.... was hoping to avoid that and do everyday as prescribed but we'll see how playing catch up goes.

also woke up with stiff hamstrings and glutes this am, not sure if not using them yesterday some of the soreness caught up to me but walked the dog this am and feeling a bit better, going to hit yesterdays at lunch...

but 5x per week is rough

Just run it how you need to. We've all had to miss days before and we just make them up.

Hell, there are certain excercises I just quit doing and sub other stuff in.

Just finished day 16.

Unfortunately my home gym is downstairs in the basement, so I guess I just live down here now...

It moved quickly as I didn't need much warmup with the First Mission plus no cardio, just squats
10 sets, 2.5-3 mins rest between each it flew by
