Throughly enjoyed Squatober. As much as Benchuary. First time doing both. raised squat 1R max by 40 lbs and maybe had another 10-15 in me but there is no reason to push it at my age. Displaced - thanks for posting the pics each day.

Now I have to figure out what I’m staring Monday. Leaning Oak tree 3 days a week.

Got up 340 pretty easily, failed at 350.

Didn't sleep well last night which is disappointing heading into the PR party.

But hey, I turn 40 on thanksgiving day, and I weighed in at 159.4 this morning. I'm pretty happy with 340.

I'm starting Benchamin Franklin 2 on either Sunday or Monday. I didn't like benchuary last year, but I'll be back for the next Squattober!

Congrats everyone! Got 390, really wanted 405 but wasn’t there today. I’ll take it. I hit 340 at the end of the prequel which was my previous max. Not bad increasing 50 pounds in a month. Take the weekend off and decide on what I’m doing next week. Prob a three day program, it’s either super set or oak tree.

Is there anything to the rumor or idea they’ll be doing deadlift month in December?

Yea they have Deadcemeber coming up. I am doing that one.

I hated having to sit this month out.

Good work on the numbers!

My back has been hurting on and off recently. I remember last year during squatober it tightened up and I was like well this may be my last year

Hell my back tightened up this morning rolling out of bed.

I changed my squat form over the last month and it may have given me new life in my older (38) year old age.

Went from high bar to low bar and almost good morning my way out of the bottom of the squat. Feels like I can keep my back in a more neutral position whereas with high bar my lower back always felt a touch compromised.

I had a patient telling me the same thing yesterday. Said he started doing that after his back was hurting. I will be doing that too. I'm 37 and my back hurts most days now lol

That’s because you are fat, it has nothing to do how you hold the bar on a back squat

I rotated my mattress the other day and now its too firm and my back doesn't like it.
