Do you smoke?
In my long life I’ve known personally 4 guys that had heart attacks at about 35 y.o.and every one was a smoker.

In my ICU days I took care of a good many guys in their 40’s and a few in their 30’s having bypass surgery.

I had weird pains but always happened when eating. Thought I had some strange GI issue. They would resolve after a couple hours. One day I had this happen, then the chest pain part, very minor, wouldn't go away. After 14hrs of it I went to the ER. It was a heart attack. Troponin levels will mildly elevated so they thought perhaps GI and then they spiked. Cath lab, blockages. EKG and everything pointed to MI. Have had no issues since and will get stents soon.

Go to the ER. As soon as you say chest pain - no waiting. Smoothest ER experience you'll ever have.

Hit the gym.

The heart is a muscle and I always train to failure.

Actually go see a doc first.

You should move, this is not normal.

I'm guessing this guy went to the ER, got admitted and is sorting this out. Hope all is well.

Just throwing it out there.. what I thought was “anxiety” that I just needed to deal with was actually increased heart rate randomly due to afib with rvr.. I never went to the doctor because I just never did. Anyway fast forward about a year or so from ignoring things I didn’t know were symptoms and I’m in heart failure from persistent afib with rvr. I felt “normal” but apparently my heart was in terrible shape like gonna crap out any day shape. I was 33. So you saying you stress too much and have anxiety gives me pause. But also any kind of cardiac symptoms I advocate going to the doctor. Would not have been in the position I was in had I just gone to the doctor.

Get checked out asap.

Reminds of the old joke. Man on top of his roof during a flood. Prayed to God to save him. A few minutes later a boat came by. He declined the ride, am saying God was going to save him. This happened two more times. He declined the ride each time with the same response.

He drowned. Went to heaven, asked God why he didn’t answer his prayer. God responded “I sent you three boats”.

You have to tell yourself the following: "whatever is going on in my body is not going to go away just because I don't see a doctor."

If it's something serious and you go to the doctor you can get started early on treatment. If it's not something serious and you go to the doctor you will be relieved of a lot of stress worrying about it.

If it's something serious and you don't go to the doctor, by the time you learn about it treatment may be much less effective. If it's not something serious and you don't go to the doctor you're still going to spend a whole bunch of time worrying about it possibly being serious.

There's no advantage to not going.

My old neighbor was about 62 with symptoms similar to yours but even less severe than an arm going limp or jaw pain. He put up with from breakfast that morning to after he got off of work and drove to the hospital and he was in fact having a heart attack.

Few years back my brother had a massive heart attack at age 35 with no apparent warning signs, luckily he survived but it was just barely. A year or so later he had what he thought was indigestion for about 2 days then finally went to the doctor and he was in fact having a heart attack. I know you think you're safe only being 34, but stranger things have happened. Don't be a "tete-du", get your arse to the doctor

My dad had his first heart attack at 31. It's not something to take lightly.

Sheesh. Your brother had 2 heart attacks by 36? Did the find any sort of cause/undiagnosed defect?

Ended up having 3 by age 39. Major one at 35 with 99% blockage in his widowmaker that he's extremely lucky to be alive and a moderate one at 38 and a very mild one at 39. He's not grossly overweight or anything either.
Other older brother had a double bypass at 38 and a stint put in at 39 but never a heart attack. Thankfully he had been running most days on the treadmill for the last few years in an effort to not have this issue, and noticed his stamina was not there a few days in a row and went got checked and it was because he had blockage.

Our family history is real bad, especially on my mom's side. Both of her brothers had heart attacks in their mid-40s.

I'm late 30s and I have been going to the cardiologist regularly for a few years as precaution. They're both on BP meds and we're all on meds for cholesterol and triglycerides

It could be anything. Severe anxiety can mimic heart attacks for tons of people. However if this keeps persisting go to your GP and ask for a referral to a cardiologist.

This thread inspired me to go get checked out by my Dr. I get slight chest pains sometimes, but they’ve never found anything and it’s been attributed to exercise soreness. Either way, anxiety is a bitch, so I’m going again.

I have a bad back. Every now and then a nerve will pinch and cause my chest to hurt. My dad would freak out every time I told him. One time he had me in the dr's office getting examined in like an hour.
