Forward to today, I have lost 30lbs so far. I plan on dropping 20 more by January 1. I have done it all by diet and exercise. My wife started coming to the gym with me in July, and we are there 4-6 times a week, usually a minimum 1 1/2 2 hours. From August of 18, I am down 46lbs. I am pretty pumped about it all, and am well into regaining control over my closet.

My trainer put me on a meal plan, I had a hard time eating that much to start, but here is what I do;

Breakfast is 4 eggs and oatmeal
protein shake about 9;30
eat again bout 11;30 protein, and a little rice & broccoli
spoon of peanut butter about 2;30
last meal before gym @ 5 protein and rice & broccoli
all the veggies I want at anytime. I usually don't eat after 5

Pfffft. 3 kids, all grown up, 2-3 married. I wish I would have started lifting 30 years ago, instead of when I was in my mid 50's

Big congrats! Stay the course. It isn't easy, but clearly you have the drive to keep it up.

I am down 31 pounds since July 27. I am down a total of about 140lbs from about 9 years ago. Been a long process of losing weight, slowly gaining, then dropping more. Almost like a downward staircase where the steps incline a little.

I've tried just about every method, starving, running 5k every night for months, working out, etc. This time I have done it with watching my macros and working out smarter. Smarter = exercising with weights that I can move and keep up my intensity. No going heavy and then staring at the bar after a few movements while I try to recover.

Not much, I do have some BCAA’s. Sometimes I will have a small salad.

I’m assuming when you say this without shake you mean like chicken or tuna or whatever right?

Of course a Falcons fan would come in here with excuses for why he’s fat and can’t be like OP
