It's core work for me...I have done a bunch of planks but it was another way to hit a 10K in something else. Better core … less back problems. I can say I've done a bunch of core work in the past and the one area that I'm not affected in terms of soreness during this challenge is my core - my shoulders and chest are tight...but that's it.

Dang man I’m 31 and hurting lol. Yea the sets of 10 are definitely going to give me more longevity throughout the month. I’m going to do one max set everyday just to see if I’m progressing.

Although it was only day 3 , pull ups were definitely easier.

Started again on April 1. I’m 56 yrs old, 5’8” and 145 lbs.

I’m trying to get in 50 squats and 50 deadlifts each day - just body weight or 25lbs dumbbells in each hand (body weight squats and deadlifts are really deep knee bends and toe touches from grade school PE class).

April 1: 100, 2: 200, 3: 250, 4: 250 so far. Doing them in sets of 50 each.

I’ve also added in the pull-ups and am getting an average of 20 in per day, with set 1 starting at 10-12 and then dropping off after that. Goal will be working up to 30+ per day.

Good work everybody - I'm scared to post my daily results anymore - I just want to stay ahead of the challenge - and feel if I post them I'll take a day off - stupid mind tricks.

If anybody hasn't started. One thing I did that seemed to help was I was doing 100-200 pushups a day for about 10 days leading up to the challenge in order to get used to what this might do to me. Suffice to say - when I did 575 on day one...day 2/3 have not been that much...went a little too hard.

Biggest mistake I made was not doing any pushups leading up to April 1. I do high rep bench, curls, dips, etc. but nothing prepared me for this.

Day Two in the books.

430 push ups.

I'm going to knock out the pull ups when I get home this afternoon.

Got 333 day 1 but only 270 day 2. Definitely some fatigue going on. But I'm already seeing results in my chest and shoulders. Might need to let my muscles recover a little bit before getting after it hard.

I took the hit on day 3 just to give my body a day to bounce back. Got to make up 366 push ups eventually but my chest really needed a break, I feel much better today.

That's probably what I'll have to do. I've only done 125 so far today. Having trouble keeping good form.

I’m less than 2k to finish. Feeling stronger in both my push ups and on my bench press yesterday.

Once completed I may do another month with a push up/ pull up challenge.

Did 350 today for a total of 1561 through 4.

Definitely felt it a little. Might go a little light tomorrow.
