Google Nest mesh Wifi with Amazon devices - MarkInTable on 2/19/21 at 9:59 am Looking into getting a mesh system for a recently purchased home. It's 2 story and around 3200 sqft. I am leaning toward the Google Nest wifi solution, but I do have 4 Alexa devices currently. Is there gonna be an issue using Google Nest with Alexa devices. Since I am already in the amazon ecosystem... Posted on Tech Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (4) |
re: Kettlebell Manufacturer - MarkInTable on 1/19/21 at 7:12 am I recently bought some kettlebells from BestBuy. The brand is Tru Grit. I'm pretty sure they are a new brand that is just trying to take advantage of the home gym craze. However, I'm not a kettlebell snob, the prices were consistent with other brands, and the kicker was that BestBuy offered free shi... re: Push cart vs carry bag - MarkInTable on 1/14/21 at 1:09 pm I was in the market for a push cart after carrying for a while when Covid started. After looking at them online I realized that my toddlers stroller has everything I need in a push cart. I have been using the stroller for about 6 months now with no issues.... re: Kettlebell Strength/Conditioning - MarkInTable on 1/13/21 at 12:47 pm
This looks like a really fun program! I'm going to do it next month.
I'm not sure fun is the word I would use, but it is a good workout for sure. I started in January using the women's weight (35lbs) and it's kicking my butt.... Posted on Health/Fitness Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Best scorecard app - MarkInTable on 1/13/21 at 9:26 am I second the Grint app. I use the basic (free) version. It keeps up with score, fairways, greens, putts, scrambling, etc. As mentioned the GPS is available, but doesn't have to be used.... Posted on Golf Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Kettlebell Strength/Conditioning - MarkInTable on 1/13/21 at 9:21 am There is a 10,000 kb swing workout that has been around a while. Basically 500kb swings paired with a strength exercise 4 or 5 days a week. Might not be exactly what you are looking for, but it will no doubt improve your strength and conditioning if ran to completion.

re: Squatober... See you in 2021! - MarkInTable on 10/21/20 at 5:13 pm Dang I thought this was Squatober not Benchtober. Tomorrow 15 sets of bench, that will take 45 minutes alone.... Posted on Health/Fitness Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |

re: Squatober... See you in 2021! - MarkInTable on 10/11/20 at 8:52 am Last couple of sets of back squat were pretty rough for me. I can feel the rdls a bit today, but I treated the cardio like cardio and went lighter on the weight and moved fast.... Posted on Health/Fitness Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |

re: Squatober... See you in 2021! - MarkInTable on 10/8/20 at 2:54 pm I guess fridays are high volume days, 60 back squats along with front squats, rdls, and goblet squats. :yack: :wah:... Posted on Health/Fitness Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Squatober... See you in 2021! - MarkInTable on 10/8/20 at 11:10 am I haven't had any issues recovering from the squats. General soreness after the first couple of days (78 reps day 2), but now I'm not even getting sore anymore. It's a good mix of high volume, heavy weight, or tempo variations. It isn't like we are hitting 80%+ of our max everyday. I can already tel... Posted on Health/Fitness Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Squatober... See you in 2021! - MarkInTable on 10/2/20 at 1:38 pm I finished day 2 over lunch. That's the most squat volume I've ever done. My legs were shaking doing the wall sits at the end after 78 squats. Took right at an hour to complete with 15 minute warmup, not near as long as yesterday.... re: New irons advice - MarkInTable on 8/3/20 at 12:44 pm I second the Apex 19's. Also consider used iron's (from a reputable source) once you know what you want. I got the Apex 19s in "Like New" condition from Callaway preowned. I got the 4-AW setup. The wraps/stickers were still on the shafts and there wasn't a mark on the clubs. I don't think they had b... re: Powerlifting Shoes - MarkInTable on 2/13/20 at 6:08 am The elevated heel helps people with limited ankle mobility, like myself, get more depth in their squat. I wear the adidas powerlift brand and have no complaints. If you don't have issues with ankle mobility then something with a flat rubber surface would work for both, think chuck taylors. I persona...
