Several times. I don’t want the struggle of travel and being on the tour. I typically shoot low 70s or upper 60s on my home course. Shot a 65 the other day which was my best round in a long time as I don’t play much anymore.

Broke 60 several times. If I’m on my game, there isn’t a soul on earth that can beat me. I’ve got a good job at the plant tho so....you know...welcome to a TD hero.

Geeeez. You guys are either really good or really good liars!
74 is my career low so far. Have carded it 4 times. My goal is to shoot par. One of the 74's was special. Should have been par or better, but I made stupid mistakes and blew it on the last two holes.
God I love this game.

I shot a 64 at Santa Maria. Playing the white tees bc I was playing with a customer. It was a wet rainy day and I was bombing the driver. Very little roll but that didn’t really matter and probably helped keep balls in the fairway. Played LCP due to wetness.

Eight birdies all on par 4s. Parred all par 3s and 5s. Made two putts over 30’.

Several times in tournaments (state level junior tours and AJGA) as a kid. I also shot a 70 with two double bogeys (the first hole and the last hole) in a tournament as well; that was probably the best competitive round I’ve ever played. Have had plenty of sub-70 rounds on various courses just screwing around over the years.

Haven’t been anywhere close to that in 12+ years at this point.

The only things I really remember from those rounds was that I drove the ball superbly well and my wedge game was fiercely on those days. To get that low, you have to give yourself lots of chances and just have some of them fall.

Many times.

I love playing in November on a cool fall day in the low 60s.

Beats playing in the high 90s which is just blazing hot.

When I lived in San Diego, all rounds were in the 60s or low 70s.

I shoot in the 60's every time I play. Sometimes I have 6 holes left, sometimes 3, lol. Seriously 69 Ft.Polk, 66 Beauregard CC (best score ever) 69 Leesville muni, par is 70. Best score playing it down and from the tips were 79 at the Bluffs and English Turn in the La. mid ams.

Did the time off rid you of it or did the light bulb come on. I’m open to suggestions.

I took over 10 lessons from some good Pros here in Houston area and non of the helped me.

After my year off, I decided to hit some range balls and a old driving range Pro saw me and told me to whip the club inside hard.

I hit 2 bags of balls dead straight by taking a hard inside path. It cured my shanks for sure.

The old guys name was Gene and he passed away last year.

67 at Beau Pre, 66 at the Bluffs and 69 at CC of Jackson all a long time ago, I’ve shot numerous 70-72 rounds on par 72 courses but have not cracked into the 60’s in a long time, the life of a 7 handicap these days I guess

Had the shanks once (really just open club face) and an old timer took me to range and told me to put all your weight on your heels at address.... never shanked one

2 under on the Kingwood Island course is golfing your ball.

Number 18 has ruined many a scorecard.

I had my first shot at the 60s a couple of months ago (Kingwood island course) Was 2 under going into 18 - hit the fairway and went for the green.... smashed the tree on the island green and dropped one and two putted for a 71.

I’m not sure which is the dumber hole, 18 on Island or 10 on Lake

My best finished round was a 63 and I shot that in a tournament playing with my dad. We were playing best ball and my dad didn’t help a single hole. We used my score on every hole and we were second in the tournament after the first day. Second day was a scramble and we played like shite lol.

I had one round where I would have shot 58 with a par on the last hole but weather blasted us and the assistant pro that I was playing with was a dickhead and wouldn’t go back out.

Otherwise, I have shot 67-69 several times over the years but am not near being that player anymore.

To answer your questions, it always feels good to play well. I have shot 75 and felt better after the round than a 68.

It takes awhile to break that barrier. You always look ahead and that is what is so impressive with pros. They are fearless to be able to finish some of their rounds.

Some days luck seems to be on your side. I shot 66 a month ago or so playing a Friday match but made a few putts over 30’, knocked in a wedge from about 60 yards for eagle and hit good tee shots on my trouble holes.

You will always leave something on the course that you can regret.

15-18 are a solid set of finishing holes. True test because if 15 is downwind, the last three all into the wind. If 15 is into the wind, that is a bear of a hole but doesn't make 16-18 any easier.

Same could be said about the front side, the final 7-9 are a solid with 9 being a perfect hole to ruin a good front side.

68 at Golf Club of Houston member course. 7 birdies and 3 bogeys. I beat some really good players that day, there was a 69 and a couple 70’s in my group. Guy with 69 was/is a +3 to 5 and other guys were a 0 and 1. I was about a 3 handicap then and just flat out rolled the rock perfectly.
