Old driver vs new driver. Yes, that's a TaylorMade driver, not a 5 wood.

New driver is much more forgiving, but hasn't yet given me the extra distance I thought I would be getting. I hit them about the same distance when I hit each square. Maybe once I get a better feel for the new driver I will be able to confidently increase my swing speed, knowing that I can stand to be a little off.

The fats with irons. It's killing me because I've never driven the ball better in my life. I suspect it's from no lower body involvement. I cannot fix it for the life of me. I need to move the divot forward, but simply cannot.

The way I fixed that is I don't look at the ball. I look at the ground 3-4 inches in front of the ball. At first I had a hard time with my eyes not going back to the ball in my backswing but after a few times at the range it's just normal for me now

Try this drill on the range. I had a similar problem. My front shoulder was flying open on the downswing and that was causing casting and fat shots. Hope this helps!

Casting is my problem. I've watched every video on YouTube and taken a couple lessons. And with that comes the high weak fades.

I have struggled with this my entire golfing life. 2 things I have tried to do. (1) Think staying inside the ball on the downswing. Inside inside inside on the left bottom quadrant of the ball (right-handed).

(2) Raise your left shoulder at set up. This makes me draw, sometimes hook, the ball.

What bothers me is I don't feel like I'm casting the club, but when I look at my swing on video, there it is.

I already come from the inside pretty severely. The only drill that has helped me at all is the ball forward drill.

The problem is, I just don't have time to actually work on it.

Edit - this is the vid I was looking for.

If someone could help me fix the slice with my driver I'd probably blow them

You probably need more lower bodyrotation and less, actually zero arm manipulation. Your body turn controls your arms in the downswing.

Take a backswing, feel like you drop the club from the top, and turn as fast as you can.

Yep. It's always a case of lack of lower body movement when you're hitting fat. Remember, when you use your upper body to power your swing your lower body turn stalls and you don't get through the shot.
