Vote NO on the BREC tax June 27 unless they agree to leave city Park alone and drop the plans for change to the golf course.

Unfortunately, it may not have that effect if the tax millage fails. BREC may invest even less in golf parishwide and want more than ever to eliminate the golf course even though it is self-supporting and revenue-positive with 28,200 rounds played in 2025.

It just seems like BREC is trying to get out of the golf business. If the powers that be are successful in taking down City Park, will Webb Park be next ?
Many of the homeowners at Santa Maria are ambivalent, at best, about the golf course. If a homeowner complains about a tree on the course, BREC sends a crew out to cut it down. This has happened more than once.
That leaves Beaver Creek…
The town hall meeting in June will be very interesting. I plan on being there.

At this point, anything goes. If they want to eliminate City Park golf course, we campaign to cut their funding. Money talks. VOTE NO!

This will be the first time in my more than 3 decades here that I vote against Brec.

This current board doesn’t give a shite about me as a golfer. They are gonna do what they want with City. Then they will turn to Webb and likely screw that up even more.

Who knows what stupid shite is in the works for Santa and Beaver. It’s all a shame because BREC parks was one of the good things this area had.

Vote NO anyways. BREC is over funded and is not making good use of our tax dollars. We spend way more per capita for BREC than areas with nicer amenities.
