For me, it was stepping away from my 56 or 60 degree wedges from 80 yards and in. I gave up on trying to spin it close to the hole. When i started picking up a 7-9 iron and punching it up there changed my game.

I drink before the round now.

Serious answer, I've gone to the course a lot lately just to practice putting, and it has helped immensely in rounds. Much fewer 3 putts and it's a lot of fun having good speed on the greens.

I hammered a 20 foot putt about 8 feet past the hole the other and got very upset before I realized that used to be pretty common a year ago. Then I drained the 8 footer.

I have started pitching a lot with my PW rather than a G wedge or 56 degree and it has helped me get up and down a lot more often.

Realized I am never going to be good so I don't get mad and enjoy the game. That is the first thing, the second is practice on putting and chipping.

I have started doing this the last couple rounds as well, it’s not sexy but it is much more consistent for me than using a gap or 56 wedge.

WhenI changed my putting grip a few years ago. After 55 years of very average at best putting I've finally become a very good putter, just when it's too late to do me any good lol.

Leaving the driver in the bag more. It’s cool to hit it 300+ yards but when you don’t known where it’s going, it sucks some joy out of it.

Stopped going to the range before a round. Stopped hitting driver so much(sometimes never). Also started using 7iron or hybrid for chipping instead of trying to knock flop shots or pretending I’m Mickleson. Things you learn as you get older I guess? No reason to blast a driver 20yards out of bounds when I can easily find fairways with woods and hybrids or even a long iron. Also, started religiously practicing 6ft or less putts at home;( game changer for me)

Gave up practice swings entirely . Except for the occasional odd lie here and there.

If everyone tried it for one whole round, I bet most would never go back. And this would make golf more fun for everyone . Especially the group behind you.

Very recently (2 weeks), I stopped shanking and being a pussy. It’s been liberating.

Now it’s all nukes and nitro

Mine is a mental adjustment because of physical ailments. After 2 shoulder, an elbow, and Achilles surgeries, I’m a lot easier on myself; just happy to be out there. Low T probably helps too!

Playing my natural shot shape on every possible shot instead of trying to force something else.

Also aiming at a safe spot and trusting my natural shape to get the ball where I want it, that way if it stays straight I’m still safe and have a chance

I have started clubbing up to reach the back of the green so when I inevitably leave it short I might still have a handy shot on the putting surface. Rarely do I hit it too long
