It did fine around 1.5” for a while, and I didn’t start there. It took about a month or so then I started creeping it down to around 1”. Part of my problem last year was I was over-watering to try to keep it greening up. I was mowing about once every 5-7days. ...
I try to mow every two days at 1”
I started reel mowing last year and got to where I was keeping the lawn around 1” to 1.5” consistently. I do use my rotary mower too, but I’ve noticed the common that is creeping in responds faster when it’s mowed shorter. I wonder if this could h...

Is there a certain fert I should use to help push the common already in my lawn, while also starving the centipede I wish to remove? I know centipede doesn’t like a ...

Appreciate the link, I will order a couple small bags for some overseeing and fixing bare spots. From the product description seems like it would be a great solution for me....

That’s encouraging that you have had success with that. What time of the year would be best to throw some seed down? ...

I’m too about done battling it. Current location 8years and had a really great centipede lawn for years 2-5 at our house but since the past couple seasons it’s become a real PIA to take care of. This year I have fungus, severe decline, and a lot of stress from the drought last summer. Bright side is...

It’s really not hard to do it yourself. I started doing my own a few years ago. I sometimes change a few buddies grips when they need. Get a kit, which comes with tape and everything you need; or buy some mineral spirits and some grip tape and a sharp knife. You will need some sort of vise also, lea...

I use a mat at home for 3-6ft putts and it has significantly helped me become more confident on the greens at those distances. Lag putting has improved as well. Learning speed and reading grain seem to be most important on the greens I play. On days when I do those two best, I mostly 2 putt, and can...

Played a few days ago and signed up for the Copper Card myself. Plan to use its benefits till it expires. Was happy to see some trees cleared out, and overall it was in acceptable condition. #17 green still has a little ways to go to be fully grown in, but I was impressed with how nearly all of the ...

My last round there was in March/April and they were sanding the greens a good bit but the course was in excellent shape. Not sure how it has done with this drought but I hope to play again up there before the end of the year. Always one of my favorite places to play. ...
It isn't about the distances for players. It is about having an AI Marshall. Track times players are playing and keep them off green surrounds and on paths for cart path only.
I’ve kept a ZX hybrid in the bag since last summer. I’ve got it in 16deg; helps me get in play off the tee when struggling with driver. Don’t see getting rid of it anytime soon. ...
