Taking Your Glove Off To Putt....

Do you leave it on or take it off? If you do leave it on, why?
Personally, I leave it on most of the time. The only time I take it off is at the turn when I'm getting the beer cooler restocked and grabbing a hotdog. I leave it on because I can't be bothered with all this on/off/on/off bullshite. I don't find it affects my putting even remotely because I've tried removing it to see if there's a discernible difference. For me, there isn't.

Always take it off. I sweat a decent amount. Keeps it dryer. But the main reason is feel. Just not used to it. When it’s really cold I’ll keep it on but only to keep it and my hand warmer.

That's the popular answer. Not knocking it but at most, I'll undo the velcro strap and let it eat. I think I'm a slightly better-than-average putter and usually come in around 28-30 putts a round.
eta: actually, that may be very average putting. Idk....

Is there a benefit to keeping it on?

Off. Same for wedges under 90 yards. Not sure why, but for feel shots I take the glove off.

I take it off after every shot. Main reason is I sweat so much in the summer a glove wouldn't make it through a round if I left it on all the time. In the cooler month (singular on purpose because I live in south Louisiana) I guess it's just habit to take it off even if I'm not sweating
It has nothing to do with feel. I can't feel shite anyway. I suck at golf

Just speaking for me personally, no. But that goes both ways...I see no benefit to taking it off. Unless like some here where you're soaking it with sweat. It never gets that bad for me though.

I take it off when putting and from 30yds and in. I just feel I have better feel with it off, on and around the green.

I take it off, I also take it off when I am pitching or chipping around the green

When I did play, I usually took it off to putt. On really hot days I'd take it off after every shot just so I wouldn't soak it. I usually rotate 2 gloves on hot days. Not a problem anymore since I get my hands wet with fish slime.

i take my off out of habit.

I take my glove off after every shot. I don't wear it for chipping and putting.

Off for everything under 80 yards.

From the looks of things I may be the only person who leaves it on.

I know a couple of old men who do it.

da fuk? Am I being stereotyped here?

I take it off after every shot. Leave it off for anything less than a 3/4 shot.

This is pretty much what I do too, but left it on a lot Saturday just because of the cold.

Leave mine on for every shot.

Nothing that hasn't been said yet but I take it off to putt.
Three reasons:
1. I sweat a bunch... I have three gloves that I rotate. One hole on, two holes off, just to keep them dry.
2. Feel. This is more of a mental thing than anything I believe. I don't know that it helps me feel the touch better, but I am not willing to risk it.
3. I'm as superstitious as a baseball player. It has to be in my back right pocket or I spaz out.
