With the dog days of summer upon us, I find myself sweating like the proverbial stuck pig by the end of the round, particularly my upper body. Any go-to golf shirts/technology I should consider?

Don't fight it... just embrace it... extra gloves and towels this time of year is a must... wash grips periodically as well.

These are my main things as well. No shirt is going to make you feel cooler when it's 95 and 90% humidity.

I bring a big towel with me that is just for sweat. If I am riding, I keep it on my lap so that the sweat from my arms goes right into it. if I am walking, I keep it on my push-cart handle. I also rotate 2 gloves between shots to keep one from getting too wet.

One other item that I think helps (could be my imagination though) is a wide-brimmed hat. It's good for the sun protection, but I also don't feel the heat as much compared to wearing a baseball style hat.

Small cooler with ice/Florida Water mix and a cooling towel. Works wonders this time of year.

This summer, Sitka came out with some very nice Tech Polos. Find you a friend that can get a discount and you can get the shirt for around $40. It's one of the lightest, breathable shirts I've worn and one of my new favorites to wear when hot and sweat is a factor.

My hands tend to sweat alot and once I can feel the glove slipping or my right hand on top of my left shifting because the glove is soaking wet, I'm mentally done. I solved that issue with Finger Ten gloves on Amazon. Super cheap and last a hell of a long time. You have to make sure to get the weather resistant one. It's basically the FJ Rain-glove but you can just buy one and not a pair. I also keep a Gorilla Grip rag (tacky rag used in baseball) and grab it every now and then with my right (ungloved) hand to keep my grip in tack. It's on Amazon as well.

Oh....and pigs don't sweat.

It 100% helps. It's like 10 degrees cooler under that thing than it is a normal hat. Bought one for the first time last year and it's one of the better purchases I've made.

^endorse

Been using them for about 3 years.

They perform well when they get wet.

Looking at their stuff and I'm debating on buying my first ever glove with a design on it.

Most of them are going to be polyester/spandex blends, but they’re not all created equal.

There’s a brand called Smith & Quinn that my wife sells dresses in her store. Their polo selection is slim, but the rep is a dude and he sends me one every now and then. They have some crazy patterns so I have to be a little picky, but I love playing in them. They feel lighter weight than some of the other polos I have such as Johnnie-O, Turtleson, Fairway & Greene, and Rhoback.

I agree with embracing the heat and sweating it out, but doesn’t mean you have to wear heavy clothes.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Some really good ones in this thread.

I may try a couple of the shirts recommended and see how they compare to what I’ve been wearing.
