Consistent 80s at Greystone from the gold tees. To get there, I’m going to have to get more accurate with shot placement to stay out of the hazards.

Kind of cliche but just be more consistent and relax in tournaments. Sick of playing well then getting into my head and blowing up when I play an event.

Usually an off the tee issue so may try one of the mini drivers

Back to single digits, I had a rough 9 months. I think I'm back. Back to about a 7 by summer is my goal

Lose weight and get a bit more in golf shape with focused weight training.. figured if I can hit my goal of dropping 50lbs couples with strengthening my core, legs and other golf muscles I can get back some stability and club head speed.

Absolutely you will. Losing half of your goal weight will make a big difference in your swing. Good luck on your journey.

My goal is the same every year… to shoot in the 70s every time I play with an 80s round being a bad day.

I’ve been playing long enough and I enjoy it but I’m extremely competitive and I have an unwavering drive to be very good at this game. Shooting 82-86 every time I play is no longer satisfying. I want that next level.

I’ve started practicing more than I ever have (3-4 days per week). Just need to be able to play more than once a week to start seeing scores drop. I can hit any shot I want on the range, short game area, and practice green. Never felt better about my actual swing.

When I get on the course, the nasty hook shows up on a few holes and crushes my score card. It’s unreal how hard it is to get from 82 to 78. Especially at Oakbourne.

My main focus is start line and dispersion with 8,9,P irons. My approach to the green stats are awful. I always manage to pull or hook these clubs and it costs me a lot of strokes.

I have a solid driver swing, wedge game, and putting. The second shots are killing me.

Actually use my lower body in the golf swing.

Best coach I ever had and I still think about this every range session.

Only been playing for about 7 months -

1. Average a round per week for the rest of the year
2. Play the rest of the year with the balls I already have
3. Truly -penalties and all- shoot less than 100 more times than not through those rounds

Best way for most people to improve this is to hit the driver further.

You take lessons with Cliff?

turn double nickel this year: so try and stay healthy enough to practice daily like I did 10 years ago. Have started workout regimen that hopefully helps this. Practice will be at course or on a simulator.

Playing in Hoag Classic Pro-Am in March, have trips planned to Squire with group of guys 3 times this year, 1 trip to Champions Retreat for LSU/Clemson weekend and want to put together a couple more group events.

Bring my current index down from 7.5 to 4.5 or better if I am able to practice more. Play in all Club Championships that I am eligible for plus a couple of member guest events.

Get more range time in.

My scores drop considerably butni always struggle finding time during the week to work on my swing.

Well Update..

I took the initiative and went and got fit for a driver today.. Eye opening for sure.

I've bought off the shelf for so long and always struggled until today.. being fit for something I never would have considered and the watching the difference in what I currently attempt to game was crazy..

One goal checked off so far.

I’m probably going for a putter fitting at some point this spring.

Glad you got a good result

I've always been afraid to change, but I'm considering it.

Thanks.... Yeah when I ended up with GT2 11 degree head set to 12.5 and a 65 gram XStiff shaft.. I was slightly shocked b/c needless to say it's not a combo I'd ever would consider , but by God it work like a charm ..
