I did it, but you probably could just go to Edwin Watts and putt for a few hours and sort it out for yourself.

I paid for the full bag fitting so I did it.

I’m sure people have done it and had a great experience, I just don’t really see how this would help your game as much as getting a putting lesson or just practicing putting a lot. It makes sense to get fitted for clubs that you use a full swing for. It’s not like you are generating clubhead speed and ball spin putting. For that reason I would think practicing with the putter you have or getting a lesson would help you out a lot more than getting fitted for a putter.

I got fitted. Never knew I needed a slant neck so that was helpful.

The laser putter alignment setup is worth it, imo. Many folks have poor swings that counter poor aiming making the results appear acceptable. With the laser test you know exactly where you are aiming and can find a putter that fits your eye and fixes your aim. At that point you just have to fix the stroke to hit where you are aiming.

If you haven’t done it and don’t know how it helps, why are you stating the obvious point that you don’t know when the guy asked if anyone had and had recommendations?

I think if you went to club champion and went through a fitting by a good fitter you would be surprised how it would improve your putting.

I haven’t been fit by them but a friend of mine was and they switched him from a mallet into a blade and he loved the process and his new putter.

I went through an Edel fitting that was over an hour and the things it helped specifically were:

Correct head shape and whether I am better with multiple aim lines, no lines and where the lines were on the putter

Length
Loft
Weighting of the head and needing counterweight in the shaft in the grip end to promote consistency with distance control

But sure, I guess I could’ve just kept practicing with my old putter that I consistently aimed poorly and struck inconsistently.

I got that putter 7 years ago and have never had any doubts about it since I got it.

I think putter fittings are dramatically underrated.

I did Club Champion in Metairie for my putter fitting. Have nothing but good things to say about the process and still love the putter after about a year.

I can’t remember the model. But it’s the half mallet model prior to when they started moving over to the heads with all the holes in them.

I did one and like it. Thought I was a toe hang putter and turns out I’m face-balanced. Fitter also changed my grip, loft, distributed weight, length, counterbalance, etc. and I’ve never putted better. I’d call Club Champion in Metairie to see but their samlab was down a week ago and they had no idea when it was going to be fixed. But if you get one done, do it on a samlab and not a trackman.

I wouldn't get a putter fitting done unless its a SAM lab. Like any club, its not a magic fix, but knowing your putting stroke and having the proper face at impact to get your ball rolling is a great start.

You’ll find out some specifics on your stroke and what type of club might work best for your stroke. Honestly, I think they are underrated, after all it’s the club that you use the most and the most important club in your bag. Why make guesses when you can get valuable information?

Got mine done at Golftec and has changed my game drastically. I average 78-83 now instead of 80-87

I did at club champion in metairie- my SC putter I didn’t feel like I was hitting it solid. He tweaked a few things and I might not make everything lol but atleast it feels like a solid hit and I have more confidence
