The original Big Bertha Warbird -

I bought it at Edwin Watts in Kenner and thought I was losing my mind paying a little over $200 for one f*cking golf club. The shaft broke three times in the first year. I would just bring it back to Edwin Watts and they would give me a new one on the spot. As the warranty was for a year, I was a little worried that it would break after the warranty expired. The guy at Edwin Watts told me to bring it back anyway and they would replace it. However the last one I got within the warranty period lasted about 10 years.

When I went to the King Cobra Titanium offset (see below), I kept the Warbird in my bag as used it as my my 3-wood.

Cobra Gravity Back offset. I could swing as hard as I wanted and hit it dead straight. Unfortunately I was young, 19-20, and hated that I had it in 12* and friends would outdrive me. I wish I had that club again. I’d take 250 down the middle every time in a heartbeat.

A friend gave me a set of persimmon woods (1,3,4) many years ago and at the time they were the woods to have. I may still have them but the last time I looked at them the driver looked like a 4 metal now

This thread reminds me of how much I miss the smaller heads on old drivers. I feel like I'm swinging a 2x4 with these newer clubs.

Same. I have a very expensive driver that I don't even take out of the bag. I pretty much stick with the 3w.

Had that BB Titanium 454 and could send the ball to the moon and back, just not always straight.
