Late to this thread, but Reed Vs. Brandel should have made this board explode.

Late to the party but I find the team Reed people in this thread hilarious. Calling a guy a cheater who was caught on camera cheating is not libelous

I'm not a fan of Chamblee, but he is pointing out what has not only been shown on video, but is a view widely held by the people who have played with Reed at every level of his golf career. I really hope Golf Channel lets discovery move forward in this. Deposing a bunch of Reed's old golf partners to testify to him cheating would be priceless

Worth noting Patrick Reed’s lawyer sued the PGA Tour last month as a fan, claiming the tour’s LIV Golf suspensions would water down his experience at … the Barracuda Championship

Serious question here, does Reed actually have a mental disorder? Something like that personality disorder called Borderline or something?

Thanks Justine, glad to have you here on TD

I'm definitely not team Reed. Ever. One of my least favorite guys on tour. I just despise Chamblee. He does not deserve to have a job on TV, he is just terrible at what he does. He's worse than Stephen A Smith to me. So if he loses a lawsuit, I'm all for it, even if it is to Patrick Reed.

I can't see a bunch of Reed's old partners calling him out. It seems like it would have had to actually cost them something when he did it or they actually hate the dude too. One of the times Reed was blown up for cheating was when his wedge dragged some sand in the bunker. It broke the rules, but it's not like it was a big deal and didn't even improve his lie. But Barstool Sports had a headline like "piece of crap Patrick Reed cheats and shows once again he's a piece of crap". He gets it pretty harsh.

He is actually very good at his job.

It absolutely improved his lie by removing sand from behind the ball.

You can't be serious?

Do you have a video or photo of it? Because if it was directly behind his ball then it for sure helped. Any angle I saw of it didn't look that bad but I might not have seen the right angle. But I also never said that Reed wasn't a cheater.

It's on page 4 of this thread if you want to see what he is talking about.

Dead serious. Just because you don't like him doesn't mean he isn't good at his job. His job is to be the bloviating analyst. He has a role and he plays it well.

Wow. What a tool. I know they adjusted the rule where you can ground your club in the bunker now and I guess you could naturally move sand on your backswing but that is a lot of sand.

Was that a bunker at the ocean course? If so you can ground you club there and they are not raked. That doesn’t appears to be raked this the question.

The day before he was in the exact same situation and the sand kept him from getting the club on the back of the ball and came up way short

Fast forward to the next day and he’s knocking mounds of sand from directly behind his ball on practice swings

Can you improve your lie by shoveling sand away from your ball so you can get the club on it?

Why are you trying to litigate this years later? Of course it was a penalty, which is why he was assessed one

Not sure, but under no circumstances can move sand to improve your lie.

Wasn’t there some stuff on video from PGA events?

I feel like this lawsuit is a "Jump the Shark" moment for professional golf. First there was the potential of LIV, then LIV happens, then a lot of golfers with more to come switch to LIV, then the players lawsuit against the PGA Tour and now this. This has to be a major turnoff for all fans no matter what side you are on.

also let's not forget he has a reputation amongst players for thinking he can hit a wood out of the rough and then switches to an iron once he's matted down the grass to improve his lie
