No respect for Sam Burns

I don’t recall hearing any mention of his low round of day during broadcast yesterday. Didn’t see any video either and looks like today is starting out the same. Guess he’ll have to win the damn thing to get any attention.

What chaps my arse is the Golf Channel sitting around shooting the shite while golf is being played. Shouldn't have to pay for PGA.com while the rest of the world sees live golf over the air. I only saw Burns a handful of times on PGA, didn't see him at all on CBS. CBS has really fallen off since Faldo left.

This. If Sam Burns was anywhere close to contending, the broadcast would show him. He’s not so they don’t.

My biggest beef is that static 5 person leaderboard…figure out a way to have it scroll so we can see some other guys and how they are doing…and find a way to highlight the guys who are lighting it up even if they aren’t in the top 5. I have to keep my phone up to check scores of other guys and it’s always a couple holes behind.

Coverage for WM is basically, almost every shot on 16, and most of the shots of the top 5, and then highlights from everyone else. If they cut to some random guy 11 shots back putting a 50 footer, bet your arse it’s going in.

Yeah, well, Tiger revolutionized the game, brought in more viewers than anyone to the sport ever, brought in more money to the sport than anyone ever, won 15 majors and won 82 times on tour. Sam Burns has won three times, none were majors. You are comparing apples and bowling balls.

Not that he really had a chance to catch SS, but after the tournament they showed a list of notables, no Burns. Damn, inside the top 15 in the world, and no crumbs.

PGA Live is the way to go if you want to watch other golfers that aren't in contention. I like it for Thursday/Friday the most because you get to see more of the course watching the feature groups. On the main broadcast they are always showing the hottest golfer on the course. Of course, the AT&T coverage was horrendous not showing Spyglass and MP enough.
