I haven’t played yet but a friend played earlier this year. At the time there were only like 8 Holes ready for play so you would play them twice. He said it’s going to be fantastic when completed. Such a top notch operation, the management had a massage tent to help you loosen up because there was no driving range at the time. Not sure what the current build status is but definitely will be worth the trip.

It’s the Bandon Dunes guys. It’s going to be top notch once they have it finished.

Went to Bandon a couple of years ago and have an opportunity to go again next year.

Do they offer any lodging options similar to Pine Dunes?

Eventually there will be. I don't think there is much yet. This project has always interested me in how they will manage demand. For Bandon and Sand Valley, you have to get lucky through a lottery. Bandon is difficult to get to, and Sand Valley is slightly difficult as well. What is going to happen when this thing is fully up and running and two of the biggest cities in America are only 2.5 hours away each?

At this point I don't think so, the plan eventually is to offer top of the line lodging/resort style accomodations. Looks like Nacodoches would be the closet lodging.

The Keiser family runs a first class operation.

They just finished the first course at Rodeo Dunes outside Denver as well. The model at all of these places is largely the same, using Bandon as the model even down to having Tom Doak, Coore and Crenshaw, and David McClay Kidd do all their courses.

I was lucky enough to go to Bandon last September and everything is first rate. Even food prices are very reasonable, which they could jack through the roof because they have you trapped there.

Another crazy thing about Dream Golf is that their prices are not that crazy compared to other resorts. I remember balking at the prices for Bandon in 2025 but still, obviously, going on the trip. Then, I went to Omni Frisco this year and realized Bandon is a better deal. Dream Golf doesn't nickel and dime you once you are there. Sure, you are going to pay good money for the rounds and lodging, but everything on site is reasonable.

I've been to Sand Valley in 24, Bandon in 25, Sand Valley is planned for 27. I really hope Wild Spring Dunes becomes our annual fall trip for a shorter weekend golf trip. I have high hopes.

You can play Bandon in the winter for $180 a round a $90 replay with juniors playing for free in the spring. As good a deal as you will find in the US.

I also love that they open the old par 3 course to locals to play for free. I got in early before the rest of our group and played with old par 3 with a bunch of guys that were just out after work and had a blast.

They used to host a high school tournament that our team played in that was one day at Bandon, one at Pacific, free for Oregon high schools but not sure if they still do that.

Might be helpful for them if they put an address or map to their location.

I was able to book 2 tee times in October. Can’t wait. If it’s 1/4 as good as Bandon, it’ll be incredible.

Definitely going to be a fall, winter and spring course, would be tough to walk 18 in 100° heat with 90% humidity in the summer although it will probably be discounted in the summer like Bandon in the winter.

Carts will be allowed during summer. I'm not sure what months they are going to consider summer though. Also they discount it in December thru February.

It’s going be great. I am curious how many Texans will be willing to drive in and drive out for a $450 round of golf after factoring in a caddy and tip.
