My numbers

So I went to this restaurant that had virtual golf because I've been wanting to get my distances. Here's what I have so far and wanted to know what you all thought:
Driver: I tried out both my Nike Vapor R flex and my Cobra King F6 S Flex, both at 12deg. My instructor has told me I need to get R flex for more distance. So I tried them out. I couldn't get a high enough tee, but the Nike outshot the Cobra by 10 yards, for a drive of 180. On the course, I drove with the cobra about 230.
3W: This was another trial between R and S flex. R flex is another Nike Vapor, S flex is a Mizuno JPX 900. both are at 15deg. Off the tee, the Nike shot 228, the Mizuno 218
7W: Tour Edge HL3 stiff, 170, 185 off the tee. I'm ordering a Tour Launch E521 in R flex
3H: Nike Vapor R flex, 170.
6H: Tour Edge E521 in S flex, 140, best hit was 180.
Irons are Callaway X2 hots, steel R flex.
4i: best shot 187, average 170. I finally figured out my setup for it, I am sure I can hit that 187 again
5i: 180
8i: 110
PW: 90
SW: Taylor Made ATV 56deg, 70 yards
LW: Callaway MD3 60deg 8, 60 yards
The missing irons I didn't try out but would like to.
For my longer clubs, I figured out that I should bring the ball back a little further, if not in the middle. I also need to step the back foot behind me more a little.
I wish I could get my shorter irons to go further. There's a huge gap between them and the mids.
What do you all think?

180 5 iron and 230 driver is pretty perplexing.
My 5 iron is my 190-200 club (not much different than you) and I’m pretty consistently 280+ off the tee.
That simulator sounds fricked

Not to mention a 110 8 iron and a 180 5 iron

The sim isn't. I've measured similar with a range finder before.

Sounds like you’ve got some major issues. Go get a lesson

What are your spin rates for these clubs? Something is not adding up, you have 5 clubs that go 180

What are your ball flights look like on the driving range or playing. Your 8i and 5i gap is crazy…
Maybe you’re hitting your 5i low and it’s rolling out to 180yds and your getting underneath your 8i and skying it high for only 110yds..

That is a MASSIVE gap. I would get in somewhere else and check the numbers.

Exactly what I thought too.
That simulator is way off.

More likely he hits the ball all over the face.

what kind of simulator were you using?

Still learning the nuances of the game, so my question is based off of intrigue not criticism.
If you are hitting your 4i & 5i at the same/similar distances as these wedges & hybrids; what benefit are you getting from having both? Do you just switch them out based on feel that day? Are you switching between them based on lie?

Is this a typo or were you hitting your driver 40-50 yards shorter than your 3w? All the yardages are pretty wild to be honest. So much so that I have doubts about the accuracy of the simulator.

Find a local PGA pro and start taking lessons.
With the numbers you stated, I can almost guarantee you take it back on the inside - throw it over the top, thrust forward and flip hands - that would account for the weak and inconsistent numbers.

I'd like to know this, also. I have my doubts that it is a high end unit being in a restaurant, but I could be wrong.

Doc - just screwing with ya
I suck at golf and am semi retired - for real, that monitor may be a bit bitchy - find a pro with a good system and check it out there

KTG: Ok, cool meng.
Responses:
1) "Get lessons." I have been. Stop telling people that. Nobody gets really good at this overnight and you know it.
2) "Get a new instructor." I would have made no improvements without him.
3) "That driver is crazy low." I said I have to tee it high and I couldn't at the sim.
C'mon man.
4) "The sim is off." I don't think so. When I went to an outdoor range, I was able to use my range finder for some clubs and it pretty much matched it. For others, like the longer clubs, I couldn't get lase my shots on the driving range because the ball would go over small rises.
5) Short irons: yeah, I mentioned that they are crazy short. Another trip to the range showed 8i for 120, 9i for 110. I def want those numbers up.
6) Ball flights: usually booming, except for 4i and 5i.
7) The sim: I have no idea what they use.
I went to the driving range 2 days ago and shot three buckets. The ranges pretty much match the sim. Woods took some time to learn them. Meanwhile, in a surprising twist, I could hit the 4i and 5i reliably, a first. Ditto the 3h.
I played a match yesterday at Stonebridge. The driver was all over the place, so I "benched" it. The 3W became my most reliable club for drives. The 5w wasn't very reliable.
I left the 4i and 5i in the car, fearing the soft conditions. My 3h became my approach club. That and my 7w did well for long par 3's.
6h and 7i did superb.
Short game was all over the place. Lots of good shots that fell short, so I need to range myself. Lots of pitches that went left. Bunkers were a problem, especially a fw bunker where the ball was against the lip. So I shot it lateraly.
Chipping was decent, but with the occasional blading. Putting needs work, oddly in spite of wet conditions, greens were fast.
