I made a thread on here a long time ago asking for opinions on the TP5 because I had been playing the Pix for quite a while but it just seemed like I was getting no distance out of it off the tee. I liked the way it performed around the greens but something was not right with the driver.

I switched to Prov1x and haven’t looked back. I’m noticing I’m a full club ahead on a lot of approaches in the fairway. It’s got to be at least 10 yards longer than the TP5.

I’m in the 97-100 club head speed category.

Has to be. I noticed a huge fall off this year. That’s why I switched to the Maxfli X. I picked up some TP5Xs a month ago. I noticed a big distance loss. My golf buddies noticed it too. Weird

That explains it. Also I used to love that ball before I switched. Wonder why they have the need to keep "improving" things.

For someone that has high swing speed driver and mid swing speed irons, which ball should they use?

I outdrive even other young guys I play with, but they will be 1-2 irons stronger than me.

My driver averages roughly 270 carry. However, on the same spectrum, my 7 iron averages roughly 155 carry

So should I aim for a mid swing speed or high swing speed ball? I currently use a vice pro plus

If you go to the actual data you can look through all the balls. The Vice Pro Plus is nearly identical in ball speed at a mid swing speed for the mid iron to the ProV1. The test says they have a much higher height though.

I played it when it first came out. Longest ball off irons I have ever hit, but seemed short on driver and did not have the greenside spin I wanted.

I like the new AVX, but Titleist keeps driving the prices up which is ridiculous.

I going to try the ZStar vs the Maxfli Tour X.

I did not know until today that there are 3 ZStars. I have a couple of sleeves on the black box from a scramble a few weeks ago. Going to pay more attention now.

Whatever. I love the TP5's. They are just fine off my driver and get alot of height on my iron shots. Tons of spin and good feel around the green.

Z star XV is a great ball. Can be found for cheap on Amazon as well.

I’m a snob but I need to try these maxflis

Titleist is getting really confusing as well with the different models... the yellow ProV1 behaves differently than the white now??? GTFOH.

Looks like I'll be switching balls to a less confusing OEM

Went and bought the TourX and Z Star Diamond yesterday. Going to give those a go once I finish out the dozen or so TP5's I have left. Going to stick with the Maxfli TourS if I don't like either of those better. Will probably still use ProV1 in tournaments though.
