You think Dj pulls more eyeballs than scheffler, smith, Morikowa, Cantlay, burns, zalatoris, hovland, Xander etc etc?

DJ has had a great career, but his good golf is the only thing about him. He doesn’t have any charm that brings people to him. Those great golfers I listed above do just as much as DJ

Phil and Bryson are the only “star power” LIV has right now in terms of people that bring eyes besides their golf play. Rickie is there too, but frick his golf is so bad recently I don’t know how long that lasts. Eventually you have to be good

Im shocked he hasn’t. I’m assuming he is afraid of going before it’s definitive about majors going forward. That dude has a legit shot of a big legacy with majors. He is already at 4. You get to 6 and that’s elite territory

Maybe. Finau is still looking for his first major and I think that's really important to him. If playing in LIV affects his ability to play in the majors, he may not make the jump. I think it's a lot easier for guys in the twilight of their careers and former major champions to make the move than the former.

I can see Finau not doing it because he is like JT and Rory and wants LIV to frick off

Honestly JT is the man. Dude is full of piss and vinegar

Yes. DJ can bomb it a mile, is actually pretty funny, has a hot famous wife, etc.

The only thing Zalatoris is known for is his cringeworthy putting stroke.

He was focused on getting married. He was probably waiting out the first event to see how it goes as well. It’s only a matter of time

But he does have a massive ego and winning majors feeds that ego more than cashing a check would.

If they let DJ play drunk and coked up I’d be tuned in for sure

Sober he sounds like a fast food worker with a 65 IQ. Thank god for golf

It’s not purely golf shots. It’s just the load of commercials.

The first 30 minutes of LIV today had 60 golf shots. The first 30 minutes of Golf Channel had 27 golf shots.

Twice the amount of shots is significant.

Imagine if the Saudis are doing the anti sportswashing approach. They're going to keep pumping money for seasons and seasons until the PGA folds, and then they'll just say, "ok, we're done with golf now"

I do wonder if they fund this thing for 3 or 4 years, lose a shitload of money and decide it isn’t worth it anymore for the sportswashing aspect, pull the plug. What a disaster and always a possibility for an entity like this. That would be among my chief concerns as a player joining it along with the majors thing

It's hilarious Rory left his own country for the US money, but now is putting down those that do the same.
It's comical
