Oh ok

Do they want a return on investment, or are these blood money sycophants just incredibly magnanimous? You don't think they plan to exert influence on a product they own?

If Greg is unhappy, should definitely rent a room in Orlando and get the top fifty in there with a stack of personal service agreements with the message that if forty sign, we ridin.

This would be Greg’s best chance to start a breakaway league ironically enough

Now he's backtracking.

Who has majority stake?
And, does anyone think Monahan survives this?

Now that details are coming out, i think there is a decent chance this doesn't go through and Jay is royally fricked.
One thing is not in doubt. Jay is a fricking jabroni.

Interesting development here ell.
Maybe we all need to take a step back before calling winners and losers here

there will be a board that will decides current LIV players whether they are allowed back to the PGA Tour. They basically said…some players will get a “frick You”…or “You’re Cool”
Maybe we all need to take a step back before calling winners and losers here

There is going to be so many twist and turns to this. I'm not sure Jay survives.

Jay is done. That’s the one thing I feel confident about in all this.

This was a straight up acquisition of the pga tour. Clearly the PIF made a strong investment into ownership of this new entity and essentially acquired the Pga tour. I work for a company who was acquired that never let the employees know until the acquisition was closed. That’s just what happens when you acquisitions happen….
The problems lie in Jay saying he’d never do this. And well. When someone offers enough cash and freedom, clearly ego gets in the way.
I’d also be curious about what board at the pga tour level had to approve this deal. Bc someone beyond just Jay had to. No way he could make this decision solo.

Whatever happens with this, we've established a few facts:
- Greg Norman is a donkey yet again
- PGA players are nothing but leverage and pawns to the tour
- Monahan will not be a face or name we see or hear about much very soon

Phil said LIV would be around in a few years and Jay would not.
Another thing he was right about. (Yes, LIV Golf League might not be, but the Saudis sure as shite will be around)

Johnson Wagner also said that it was 90% negative in the meeting and a standing ovation was given when suggested that Jay Monahan should be pushed aside and the PGA Tour needed new leadership.

This shite isn’t happening.

What do you think the players are gonna say? Of course they will be negative. I’d be too. They were lied to and Jay just got paid. Gonna be an interesting ride.
But golf couldn’t be in a better place IMO.

I agree. They will be mad for a while, until their agents pull them aside, shake them and slap them and say, "You idiot, do you realize how much more money you will make from all this?" The running of the mouths will continue for a while but it will calm down and all will be ok.

Thanks to Phil, PGA Tour players have the chance to make more money.
