Damn this game!!!!
Same course a week apart
Best six hole stretch I have ever played
Birdie, birdie, birdie, par, par, eagle

Then boom I make doubles, can’t make damn putt
I’m a 6.2 right now and I just can’t seem to get that consistency
Frustrating

I finished everything on the front 9 with a birdie on 9. 3 birdies, a double and a bogey on the front. Started the back 9 with a bogey, double, birdie, double and finished the back 6 over par. Lost my tee shot on 18 left, hit a great 3 wood into a greenfield bunker and got up and down for par to finish 78. Only my second time to break 80 this year. Thought I could keep the back 9 in check until 11.

It's a cruel sport.

A few weeks ago my golf buddy (5 cap) started birdie, birdie, par, birdie, birdie. He tapped in on 18 for a crowd pleasing 87.

He hasn’t responded to any of my text messages recently.

I have yet to break 80 this year.

Many 9 holes in 30s including a 36.

Just can’t seem to keep it all together.

Don't be so tough on yourself.

Congrats on 2 nice rounds.

I went 41-35 last round.

Playing the Judge today, wouldn’t be a bit surprised if I reversed that, just because I had hope it was going to be a good round.

If it makes you feel any better I had had my handicap the lowest handicap of my life in May, Shot my first and only 72 and followed it up with a 77 and 79 then after that I suddenly became a upper 80s low 90s golfer. Broke 85 for the first time since May with an 83 this past Sunday

And you never will. None of us will. Guarantee you Scotty Scheffler wishes he was more consistent. Accept that and just enjoy the game.

I'm a 3.7 right now and I haven't had a 6 hole stretch like that in quite a while. I'd be frustrated with a 77 too with a run like that but honestly just look at your overall score. That's a solid round of golf.

Sounds like you're some regular range sessions away from being able to post a really good score.

39-37

I did beat 2 guys playing scramble who were videoing for their instagram channel.

They were playing purple tees though, and the Judge is a beast from back there.

They didn’t believe me on 16 on the yardage, so I hit driver on the 240 yard par 4. Put it on the green from their tee.

On their feed one of the clips they’re showing their card lamenting how hard the golf course was and that they were 10 over “had to quit keeping Dave’s score, he was busting our arse”

Had an even round through 8 this AM and then sent a hosel rocket with a 9 iron from the middle of the fairway into the woods. Fun game

Here’s a round I put in last week at the beach. Pretty standard stuff as an 8 HCP.

Playing holes 3-16 at +1 was neat I guess.
