I had a lot more pars simply because I’m getting used to the greens. I hit pretty much the same clubs off the tees as last week. The two doubles were somewhat saves. Hit my second shot in the water on 7. Worst swing of the day. And then on 8, I went OB left so laying 3 immediately. It wasn’t a bad strike just too much draw and unlucky hop. So felt okay with double. Birdied 3 and 18.

7 is sneaky. You almost can’t go at the pin and be short because it’ll funnel down to the water.
Birdie on 18 is good. Too many people get screwed by that fairway bunker or lured into going for the pin in two and getting wet.

I was 210 out and between clubs. Took the longer one and made a bad swing because I didn’t fully commit. It happens.
On 18, I had 195 to the back right pin. Hybrid off the tee between the two trees. Wind behind us so it was easy cover.

Just depends on the course I think i can still score from 6900-7000 yds anything more and I play one ups.

Round deteriorated after 6 holes. My up & down game was the only thing that allowed me to score decent.
Funny/maddening story from today...
Pipe my drive right down the middle on 17. A herd of Canadian geese walks across the fairway as I’m hitting. Get to where my ball was...and no ball. One of those frickers ate my ball or carried it off.
I drove around through them looking for the suspect for a while but couldn’t find anything. Absolutely unbelievable. I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.

Had a DNF at the Island today. Foursome in front of me playing slow and foursome behind me pushing me. Also had kids driving up and down the cart path the entire front nine. Not sure if it’s normal there to have kids on the course just driving carts but it was the same group of 4 all day. Super frustrating waiting at a tee box for the group in front of you only to see some kids driving down the path once the group clears and have to wait for them also.
All of this on top of my shitty play had me fuming and ready to leave after 10.
