My brain can’t fathom teeing off at 8am and not finishing until after 2

One of the responses claims the first group out took 5.35.

I’d have to be begging for some fines if I was an LPGA player.
Absolutely no reason a group of professional golfers should take that long on a wide open golf course.

6 hours with Charley Hull though? Would not complain

St Andrews in 30-40 mph crosswinds is no joke. I speak from personal experience.
Those were sustained winds, not gusts either. I played it in 25-30 and it isn’t a fun day. I can see pace of play slowing to a crawl in those conditions.

Entirely possible they ran into someone on the opposite 9 that slowed up the pace of play, but women’s golf in general has become egregiously slow.
Korda and Hull are actually two pretty quick players so their group taking that long is an indictment on everyone else.

Such a tired comment. Get a new schtick

It’s true though. Not a schtick.

The final round today it has taken the last group 2 hours to play the first 5 holes……
We are talking about a potential 7 HOUR ROUND

Some of it has to do with the course set up, but until players are penalized for slow play, they’re going to keep doing it.
It’s refreshing to hear Nelly talk about it frustrating her so much.

I honestly want to know what the frick you can be thinking about so long? Is it basically like asking a woman “what do you want to eat tonight” 70 times in the course? If so I get it

Wonder if the pace got to Nelly…she shite the bed big time on the back 9 and looks like she will miss out by a shot or 2.

Nelly my fav lady to watch, but she’s become a mental midget when dealing with any adversity. She needs to shut it down for a few months. She so
Much better than everyone else but mentally very weak.

She’s been as dominant as Scottie this year

Don't even think about giving women's college golf a shot. It's even worse.
The amount of time some of these girls spend reading the green is just baffling. I've tried on two separate occasions to watch the LSU ladies play and I couldn't watch over a couple holes. In the short amount I've watched, on both instances the commentators mentioned the pace of play. It's obviously an issue everyone knows about but I guess aren't doing anything to fix it.
