...at the Web.com in Broussard. Very impressive. Plays with a ton of confidence. Also plays fast, which I like. I’ll go back Sunday if he’s in the hunt.

He was -2. Had it to minus 5 at one point, but couldn’t make a putt on the back nine.

Is there any chance Sam could play the Zurich this year?

Yes he will more than likely play. Chase Koepka played with his brother last year.

At this point, one of the players who qualify for the Zurich will need to choose Sam as a teammate. It’s possible.

I assure you Sam will be at the Zurich. Even if they give him his own team.

Really depends on if he wants to use one of his remaining sponsors exemptions on a team event.

Followed him basically every shot. Thought he played just ok, Maverick outplayed him for most part of the day. Sam missed some putts, made a terrible bogey after chunking his 2nd on 4. Had to walk away after threw his putter which i completley understand. Then made 3 birdies n a row. Iron play was on point, hit a few wayward drivers.
If he rolls it good tomorrow he'll be in contention on Sunday

I followed him a few holes. If every pro played at his speed, it would be a 3 1/2 hour round instead of 5 hours.

Yeah no kidding. Walks up, looks at his shot, and hits it. So nice

I didn’t like how he would putt out and walk to the next tee while his playing partner finished up. I only saw him for the first 3 holes Saturday but he did it on all three holes. Was damn near teeing it up on the next tee box while the guy finished out.

Why does that bother you if it's not a distraction? I get it if the next tee is right by the green, but I bet if you asked most guys out there they like when people do that because it speeds up play. I've listened to podcasts with probably a dozen pro golfers and they all complain about place of play.

It’s disrespectful to head to the next green before your playing partner finishes the hole. Walking to the next isn’t where the pace of play slows down.

Why? They aren’t riding together or anything. What his partner does isn’t important to him so it shows he’s completely focused on his next shot.

It was disrespectful as frick. I see some pros do it every now and then if they want to get over to the next hole for a snack break or go use the bathroom and that’s fine.. but Sam started off doing it on the first hole and did it 3 straight holes to begin his round, for no apparent reason. Just wait for your partner to putt out. Not hard.
