I saw him for a couple holes on Saturday. I think that they were close to out of position. Wind wasn't doing him any favors. Pretty sure that baw does chew.

Did it ever occur that they may have talked about it before the round? Or that they were on the clock or out of position?

First 3 holes of the round, so no.

No. That didn’t occur to me that they may have discussed Sam’s walking to the next hole in advance of their round together.

I’m sure his playing partner enjoyed the LSU fans walking around and chatting as they followed Sam to the next hole while he lined up his putt, while Sam got complete calm and silence.

Heading to the next tee directly after putting out is a very deliberate pace of play thing. I think they even request that in AJGA events now.

It literally happens in every tournament at every level. And most of the time they’ll talk about it before the round on the first tee.

It is ok to be critical of a player when he makes a mistake. I am still a Sam Burns and LSU fan. I’m not going to go looking for convenient excuses like pace of play or that maybe they talked about it before the round or something.

You could be talking about Rory Sabatini and I’d say the same thing...
