45 min preview on HBO. Good stuff.
Lot of admiration between the two and good natured trash talk. Interesting to hear of the support they provided to each other during the tough times.

I had no idea they were doing this, so thank you for posting. Watched it last night, and I thought it was pretty cool. Was this a 1 time thing, or are they doing multiple episodes?

It’s one time only for $9 million. The HBO show was a really good primer for the match to come

Watched this yesterday. Seemed really fake and staged to me. Nothing that came out of their mouths felt ginuine.

The media made them out to be bitter rivals.
And like Phil said in the show, “we both knew it was good for us and the game, so we didn’t correct them”
The were fierce competitors and both hate losing more than anything. The media made it seem like they hated each other, but they were close friends who loved competition and still do

1st hole starting out with a $200K side bet...

LINK

quote:

During a news conference on Tuesday at Shadow Creek to promote "The Match" between the longtime rivals, Mickelson noted he's been thinking about the side challenges that are to be part of the pay-per-view event.

"I feel like the first hole is a great hole for me," Mickelson said. "And I believe -- in fact I'm willing to risk $100,000 that says I birdie the first hole. So that's how good I feel heading into this match."

Mickelson made it clear to Woods that he didn't have to accept, but the 14-time major champion said: "So you think you can make birdie on the first hole? "I know I'm going to make birdie on the first hole," Mickelson said. "Double it," Woods responded.

And so there immediately will be something on the line Friday when 14-time major champion Woods and five-time major winner Mickelson step to the first tee at Shadow Creek, a 415-yard par 4.

I got the impression that by the time it’s said and done, they would’ve gambled away a large portion of the prize money and gambling proceeds will go to charity. Good stuff.

I think it’d be great to watch, but I’m not getting PPV to watch it. Wish it was on a major network.

It’ll be on YouTube that night I’m sure. I’ll watch it later

The winner gets the 9 mil. The loser better hope he wins a lot of side bets.

They are both making out like bandits from the broadcasting rights alone.

The winner gets the entire 9 million purse. It's winner take all. I can't make it any simpler.

Unless they are putting up their own money, this means nothing.

All money bet/won will go to charity. They will each get a cut of the pay per view money.
