Based on FPs last podcast and some Twitter action, I assume this match-up is going to happen. But they have to figure out how to make it competitive since GG would run away with it as teams stand now.

How could they make it work? I assume it would depend on whose channel it would be on, but I'll suppose it will be on Barstool, and I'm guessing they won't split if so. GG has 6 to FPs 4, so what's a good division for this one?

My initial thoughts
FP + Tig, Garrett or Grant
FP + Tig and Bubby vs GG + Trent (if they decide to split up)

Tig is getting busy with his personal stuff. It would be great if GG just sent Stephen, Matt, Bubbie and 1 of whoever else can make it.

Agreed. I feel like alternate shot would be the best format no matter how they stack the teams up. Best ball would just be taking every one of GGs shots and Foreplay is also there.

I have given both groups a shot at viewing their content. Just can’t do it.

I've gotten to the point with GG, that I can't watch their scramble stuff. It doesn't do anything for me seeing 3-6 guys hitting the same shot back to back. So, I'd rather see alternate shot than that.

I'm starting to find their individual channels way better than the GG channel.

This is what I do. Garrett, Micah, and grant would be a legitimate bloodbath against the foreplay guys.

There's only so much of Steve acting like he doesn't give a shite, Matt screaming, and Bubbie simply talking that I can take. The other 3 seem more serious about golf anyway.

No Laying Up is much better in my opinion

Same here. I love GG, started watching their stuff probably at the beginning of this year. I kind of stopped watching the scramble videos and really only watch the knockouts, brackets, 2v2v2, or anytime they do something with a pro. The GG channel is really geared towards a bigger audience and trying to get a lot of views and subscribers.

I've really gotten into GM golf (Garret's channel), Garret's, and Micah's channel. The production quality is not as good but it's some damn good golf. Grant's swing is just so fricking pure. I enjoy when GM golf does the 2v2 videos with Garret & Grant vs. 2 Korn Ferry tour players or DI college players, etc

A million times. Strapped this week was maybe the best one yet.

I agree, but GG and their sub channels put out like 6 videos a week. NLU will put out one video a week for 5-6 weeks then go away for a few months. I'm not faulting them, but there is gap in golf video content that I need to fill in during my shits.

If anyone would like a short video series that should give you confidence in your game, I recommend Not A Scratch Golfer. He's a pretty boring guy, but the videos are usually 8-12 minutes. He's a single digit handicap that can barely drive it 220, but he stays out of trouble and is a good putter. It makes me think that I can get there someday knowing I probably have more physical tools than him that I am not close to taking advantage of.

With the skill difference between the groups I think The Wheel of Not Ideal would work well. Or you do a 2v2v2v2 scramble with a member of GG and FP on each team (Micah/Trent, Grant/Frankie/, Bubbie/Lurch, Riggs/Matt).

As long as Grant isn't the one putting.

Wouldn't be a GG video without a Grant power lipout.

Right, NLU puts out probably the best content but its so less frequent than GG. Fore Play is the same they really only put out chunks of content every couple months.

GG is nonstop.

If GG and Fore Play were going to play a match play scramble format I almost think you would have to give Fore Play 6 or 7 strokes if not more.

The FP guys are pretty bad for for guys that play every week and have custom fitted equipment.

This reminds me of a weird handicap thing I noticed with the two groups. In one of the TaylorMade videos a long time ago, Lurch claimed he's around a 5 handicap. I thought that sounded way too low, but maybe he is a lot better off camera. GG just came out with a video about getting Matt's handicap down to a scratch. I didn't watch it, but the title screen on YT made it look like he was trying to go from a 10 to scratch. I figured he was way lower than 10. I'm a 10, and I suck. Matt hits the ball really well and has good touch. One of these two situations doesn't add up.

I legitimately don't think any of of them could break 85 playing tournament rules and Lurch may be the only one that could break 100

I imagine Matt doesn't track his handicap, and he doesn't seem to play many 18 hole scored rounds. 10 is probably just a random guess or maybe inflated to show better "results." He's had a couple 18 hole vlogs where he shot under par to a few over. I'm bet he's closer to a 3. Or would be if he played normal, scored rounds without the antics.

I could see Lurch being single digits. They play some hard courses. I imagine the camera/production makes it harder. Rick Shiels is a plus and he's had some vlogs where he shot low to mid 80s.
