It seems weekly there is someone asking for recommendations for club fitting and/or instructor However, I was just wondering why DT Golf Academy is never discussed. I know nothing about it, but I was in Shreveport this weekend and saw advertising for the place, as well as recommendations for Chad Darby. Any personal experiences?

Because most of those recommendations are from people hours away from Shreveport

I had a lesson with Chad once and I have a gift certificate for another one. I took the lesson so I could get access to 265 for the day. I enjoyed the lesson and loved fooling around with hackmotion. He seemed like a knowledgeable guy. As far as club fitting I have no clue.

Most of guys on here are South LA folks. 265 is private also, so not a ton of non Shreveport people get on. Darby seems to be solid (I had one lesson, but I suck in general). There is a different instructor for fittings and another for short game. 265 facilities are awesome though. If you're able to, definitely worth a visit.

I had a full bag fitting in Feb and it was great. Tyler? I think his name was. He was their short game guy/club fitter. We got done about 30 minutes early and he cleaned up my chipping and gave me a putting lesson too.

Chad Darby used to be at Annandale and had a cult-like following. Really popular guy. He puts a lot of stuff on Instagram. I bought a 6 pack of lessons from him but turns out it was right before he announced he was heading to Shreveport and I never used them. He gave me my money back

I think it was much better when Shawn Webb was there but he left to open his own shop. He was a top 50 coach I believe. I use him online and he is great.
