Could the commentary be more bland and boring at the Masters today?

This just seems so boring. The storylines are pitiful. Just no excitement on what they say. Ota like they are holding back waiting for something.

What would you be saying if you were doing it? Give us your audition.

I don’t think I would do much better but I am willing to give it a shot if they will give me the platform. But yes I know there is only so much to talk about. Maybe for some reason this tournament does not feel as exciting to me for whatever reason. Point taken. Also the weather is absolutely crappy where I am so my whole Sunday outside watching g the masters and cooking has been partly destroyed.

Nantz is so obsessed with history trivia he fails to focus on the history being made in the present

What do you want them to say? Rahm is dominating and there is no excitement

It could be worse. You could be listening to Chantel Mc Cabe on PGA radio tell a story about a player.

It is really bad delivery. Content good but crew not really meshing

I thought there was something off with the coverage today. Seemed like we saw the leaders, and not much anymore than that. Speith and Phil were making tons of birdies but didn't really see much of them. It wasn't that the coverage was bad, just that it was missing something.

“And of course, as everyone remembers, this is when, in 1972, when Jack stopped to eat 1/2 a banana. Arnie, lit up his famous 12th cigarette. So memorable”

CBS knows that the Green Jackets are watching the video & listening to the audio for every shot shown.

watched more of the app than the actual coverage however I watched the broadcast for the last 9 holes. I thought the story of Bennett making the top 12 and ties was one of the biggest stories. Especially after he came out and said his game was good enough to win. I found myself pulling for him not to make it.
Speith and Phil were the real juice today and they finished too early. We knew Rahm was going to win somewhere around 12. From there they were stuck with Henley, Morikawa, and Cantlay. Pretty blah golfers IMO. Thought Hovland would have been fun watch down the stretch but he faded early.
I think not being able to watch the leaders Saturday for the first few holes was the biggest travesty of the week.

The Masters is still the goat but my god the fricking masters insists upon itself more than a Wes Anderson movie.
Also did Sevie win today or Rahm?

I'm probably in the minority but I actually like Trevor as a commentator. He can relate to the players well and doesn't get over the top with his commentary.

OP I agree. Maybe it was all of the delays or the guys fighting for 2-5 place finishing too early. Just couldn’t get into the broadcast and ended up muting it and doing my taxes with it on in the background.

Well nobody likes Koepka and Rahm is pretty bland unless he makes mistakes and gets pissed for doing so. When it's a two man race, kinda hard to make it more interesting with these two robots. Mickelson, Spieth and Theegala is what kept me watching.

Agreed. In addition the production value was the worst I’ve seen for a Masters. I’ve been watching the Masters since the mid 60’s, the coverage was very disjointed, and lacking depth to the commentary.
