Listened to Lying 4 podcast and they had Nathan Crace on. Mentioned he was renovating City Park in BR. Did he do the last Reno or they doing another one?

Curious as to what they would do? I love the current layout with the exception being the size of #2 and #7 greens andthe abysmal clubhouse/pro shop.

I like those suggestions.

I'd consider flattening #7 fairway somehow, so everything doesn't roll so far left. That green is stupid small.

I hate #8 with the collection area in front of the green. That blind tee shot is tough enough without that part. Just make the green huge instead.

Make #9 a par 4 again. That was always my favorite hole.

I play 9 as a par 4 anyway.

They need to open 2 up some. 7 may be the best hole in town (muni only obviously). The tree loss sucks, but they should replace it with a big bunker.

Really what they need to do is redo the greens and make them a little bigger, but work on the irrigation, etc so that they drain and roll correctly. Will also need to invest in a greens mower.

The layout is fun. The greens are dull. It's short as it is. It needs so big, undulating greens.

Great, ruin it even further than the last “redesign”. Idiots at BREC.

Clark looks like crap from the roadway. Looks like they gave up or ran out of money. Grass looks terrible.

I’m positive they shut that down. The holes are out there but they’re covered up.

Sorry but no.

Brec will not spend money on maintenance to make any renovation worthwhile for anything more than a beginner golfer.

My first round was at City as a 10 yr old. Nothing has changed in 30 yrs.

Nathan has worked with BREC for several years consulting on various projects (ie mini range at Webb). Currently, he's looking at potential course improvements at City, but a major renovation is not near term.

The new course at Clark will be planted in May of 2022, with a scheduled opening date of September 2022.

Does anyone have a picture of the routing before the renovation that turned 9 into a par 3? I know where that tee box is, so it's easy to understand. The spot I have trouble with is 5-6.

I wish on the two blind shots off the tee box there was a bell somewhere in the fairway that a golfer could ring to let the others know it’s safe to tee off

The old tee box for 5 was near the current tee box, but a bit closer to 4 green. The hole was a dog leg right and you could drive through the fairway off the tee especially if you didn’t hit a fade. Too much of a cut and you’d go in the water. There were more trees closer to Dalrymple and the fairway was a bit wider in the landing area. The bike path is now in the old fairway. The old green doesn’t exist. It was around the tee area for 6. 6 tee was closer to 7 green.

I think number 7 green is the smallest in the area. If hit a hook you are done on this hole. I always try to keep it right without hitting the rr tracks. Ha
