Can’t see the ball land…recommendations?

I’ve been near sighted my whole life..first got eye glasses at age 15 and been wearing contacts since then (now almost 44). In the past couple years I’ve noticed that I can’t see the ball land in most situations from anything over about 150 yards. If the sun is directly behind me I can see it but if it’s in my face, overhead, or off to the side then I can’t and it sucks always asking my playing partners where it landed. Pretty much anyone I play with (younger and older) has Better vision than me and can see the ball easier. I have gotten my contacts corrected and I see 20/20 on the eye chart but it’s totally different on the golf course. I’m not sure if it’s a light/dark sensitivity or what. My vision changes and astigmatism has never allowed me to be a good candidate for LASIK, and my distance vision in all other scenarios seems fine. My optometrist added some distance correction to a pair of sunglasses with a tint that is intended for golf, but it honestly it hasn’t helped much. I’ve tried the yellow ball and that hasn’t helped. I think I have floaters and maybe they are getting worse because sometimes I can’t see a ball land on a green initially but then after a few seconds, I can see it. has anyone gone through this and found a solution? I honestly want some kind of flip down magnifier that I can pull down over my eyes after I make contact so I can watch the ball land instead of it disappearing 80% into its flight, or maybe a set of overcorrected contact lenses that I only wear golfing. Any help is appreciated!

If you're 20/20 on the chart with correction, and your only complaint is not being able to see an object 2 inches in diameter 150 yards away, I would tell you congratulations.

Same issue. Can't find ball in flight very well. Got some new expensive prism glasses to try. Haven't used them yet cause I got a broke leg.
About to give up golf cause it just ain't fun if you can't see the ball in air.

I have this problem too. Haven’t found anything that works.

I have the nearly identical problem with my eyes. The time frame of when things went south is about the same, and my ability to see the ball beyond 150 yards started when I turned 40. That's also when I started needing bifocals to read/see up close. Wait until you start developing cataracts. I have been told once the cataracts get bad enough to need surgery they can fix most of your eye issues with the replacement lens. This includes the astigmatism. I'm in my late 60's and so far my cataracts aren't bad enough to require surgery, but they sure make night driving fun.

Easy fix
Hit the ball where you are aiming

You need to see an ophthalmologist and have your eyes checked thoroughly, not an optometrist. Be sure to check for glaucoma.

i'm 43 and struggle with similar as far as tracking the ball down to the horizon line or tree line and then losing it briefly. I have found different colors have different impacts.
I can't see red balls for crap once they get near the horizon. The neon lime green from Vice works fairly well for me. Yellow was better than white but not as good as the green for some reason, for me.

Same issue here. The prizm Oakleys didn't help.
