re: Are we going to ignore the change in 2022 PGA venue?Posted by The Johnny Lawrence on 1/11/21 at 2:49 pm to Hermit Crab
For the record, 81 million people aren't advocating this move and 74 million people aren't opposing this move.
The number is much smaller on both sides.
There just aren't that many people who care either way in the grand scheme. Move it or don't, it's still a major and people will watch. But moving it avoids the Trump question. The PGA clearly felt that avoiding that issue was worth more than pissing off the people who don't want it moved.

81 million to 74 million isn't a minority.
do you really think that 81 million people give a shite about where the 2022 PGA Championship is going to be held? The people who care are the same ones that look for shite to hate everyday. They are the same people who take things out of context, blast everywhere to rile up others and have the time to do this everyday.
the Majority of this country don't give a shite. They want to be left alone to go to work everyday, go do their hobbies afterwards and on weekends and have some dinner.

The PGA fans are so woke that you don't even know what JT did Saturday. This is straight up stupid. A 4% margin in the popular vote to wokesters=shunning from polite society

Demographically speaking, apparently they do know their audience. He got killed in white suburbs with higher education levels...aka, where a lot of golf fans live.
It was suburban women, not men that didn’t vote for him. Those women aren’t watching golf.

I know this is a LA board so y'all may not exactly have your fingers on the pulse of "mainstream" America but this was a pretty easy call for the PGA to make.
Is it supposed to be an insult that we are not in touch with liberal elitist that want to make rules for others, but not follow the rules themselves? The PGA may have made an easy call, but it has no spine and caters to a lot of people that hate it without knowing anything about it.
They tried this with the Masters several years ago, but Augusta didn’t fold. Their sponsors are still there every year and viewership is still through the roof.

Smart move. Trump does not have a ton of support amongst the PGA players and their fans. This is just knowing your audience
I'm sorry, but no one could possibly be THIS F*CKING STUPID.
Seriously.
I really don't care what course the PGA Championship is played on. I don't blame the PGA for wanting to avoid the negative spotlight and just have the focus on the golf. In fact, I wish they would go to some other parts of the country to play it instead of the same old NYC suburbs or other locale in the northeast. Go play it on the west coast again, so we can have a prime time finish like we did at Harding Park this year.
